Beech Mountain, located in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, is a popular spot for climbers. Outfitters in nearby Bar Harbor offer guided tours and courses for those interested in climbing the south ridge of Beech Mountain. The area also features Echo Lake Beach with lifeguards during summer, Pretty Marsh, the Carroll Homestead Interpretive Trail, Southwest Harbor, and Bass Harbor with its iconic lighthouse.

Awesome hike, very short with unbelievable views on top. We weren’t able to go into the fire tower but the views were still immaculate. Especially if you go slightly down the backside and see the sunset.

Steven L — Google review

Short and moderately easy loop hike with a total distance of just over a mile. I would recommend going clockwise, so that you can enjoy spectacular views over Long Pond on the descent. Beware: there are some difficult rocky stretches to traverse and bees on the way!

Aditya N — Google review

We were on the hunt for a less travelled trail and summit while visiting Mount Desert Island since this was our second time visiting and this one was much quieter. The view from the tower was also pretty spectacular. Depending on which way you decide to go up and descend can make for a good hike either way.

Mig D — Google review

I can't think of any hike in Acadia that gets less than 5 stars. Beech mountain trail is no exception. Nice short loop trail with great scenic views.

Michael H — Google review

Great hike to the top, little rocky so be careful but great views.

Clinton L — Google review

Beautiful hike! None of the views in the park compare!

Melanie M — Google review

Hiked Beech Mountain on a foggy, misty day. It was quiet and peaceful. Went with two kids, ages 2 1/2 and 6. The 6 yr old enjoyed scrambling up the rocks. The two year old was mostly carried in a backpack but she got up to climb in some spots. This is a nice, easy hike. I’d definitely come back on a clear day to see the views.

We hiked the cliff walk, easy hike with great views!

Blue Hill Wine Shop is a gem on the Blue Hill peninsula, offering an exceptional selection of wines and gourmet items. Visitors can find reasonably-priced bottles of wine, cheeses, olives, sardines, and crackers. The staff is knowledgeable and ready to make recommendations. In addition to its outstanding wine selection, the shop also offers great cheeses and hard-to-find gourmet ingredients.

Beautiful little shop! With a huge selection of Wines, sparkling Wines too!! Nice little food section, with cheeses and fresh baked cookies ect.

Denise T — Google review

Don't underestimate the magnitude of wines available here. Don't miss out on on the sub room by the cashier.

Clarke T — Google review

Very unfriendly, unwelcoming, unhappy staff. Super disorganized shop. If you are not a wine connoisseur, don't waste your time. Left without a single bottle.

Elizabeth G — Google review

Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a fantastic variety of products

Laura S — Google review

Wide selection of wines and staff are great with recommendations. They always pick out fantastic and interesting bottles

Kailan S — Google review

Great wine shop, they are very knowledgeable staff always a great time there shopping for 🍷 wine.

James D — Google review

This exceptional shop was the perfect antidote to slow-to-open restaurants on the Blue Hill peninsula. After checking in to the Blue Hill Inn, my wife wandered down the street in search of a place to eat for dinner. She found this wine shop with an exceptional selection of wines with staffers ready to make a recommendation if desired. She returned with a reasonably-priced bottle of red wine, two cheeses, olives, sardines and crackers. We enjoyed these selections on the lawn of the inn and, with an assist from the innkeeper, this was one of the most memorable dinners during our week-long vacation.

Daniel M — Google review

Another jewel in the Blue Hill area, great selections of wine and cheese and other stuff as well. Prices and selection are both very good. As sophisticated as any such shop you are likely to see in any big city of your choice.

Scott P — Google review

Outstanding! Carefully curated wine selection, great cheeses, hard to find Asian ingredients, prefect espresso. Staff and owners knowledgeable, fun, and friendly. Cool, eclectic, music on the turntable!

James H — Google review

Wonderful selection of wines from all over the world, some as low as $8. There are also cheese / pate / imported goods available.

Kwan L — Google review

Awesome little wine shop! I've been here a dozen times now and each time I've returned home with a wine that fits whatever my preferences are at the time. The owner has an extensive knowledge of his craft and can find you precisely what you are looking for. Prices are accommodating and reasonable.

Lisa S — Google review

Excellent selection of wines and gourmet foods. Go on the right day and you can pick up the best bread in the world (Tinderhearth). Staff is super knowledgeable and pleasantly geeky. Prices are extraordinarily fair.

Cary H — Google review

Had an incredible experience talking w Andrey (sp) who offered me a variety of bottles within my price point and giving me such fantastic in-depth detail on each one that I ended up buying all of them, and doubling what I intended to get. They treated me w grace, patience, and kindness, all while being extremely excited abt my interests - not something you get at every wine shop! Truly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. And a great selection on top of that. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Kayak rentals, boat tours & a scenic beach campground are a few of this adventure outfit's draws.

Fantastic place to rent kayaks for single or multi-day trips in the beautiful Stonington Archipelago! We rented kayaks for a 3 day/2 night camping trip and got great advice from the owner which islands to check out and which ones to avoidWe ended up on Wheat Island for both nights and even saw a Porpoise on the way! (kind of like a dolphin but it's technically a whale :) Had a wonderful time!Cut short your time in crowded Acadia National Park and come here instead to see the real thing with hardly anyone on the water or on the islands!

Thomas R — Google review

We booked two excursions with Old Quarry and both were excellent. We did the Harbor Tour, which we had adapted so that we could stay on Green Island for a couple of hours and get picked up later in the afternoon. The swimming hole there was a lot of fun - but bring bug repellent!! It was easy to schedule and worked out well. We also did a sailing lesson for 6. In both cases our guides/instructors were just great (Hutch and Sherry). Very friendly and knowledgable and made everyone happy and comfortable. My brother and his son also rented kayaks from Old Quarry to use on their own and they were very happy with the experience.

Liz O — Google review

Took a half day guided kayak trip. Pricing in line with other outfitters. Equipment in great shape and our guide Cody was helpful in setting the boats up for everyone; he was knowledgeable about the wildlife, islands, local industry etc. Fun and interesting

Bill and his dog Johnny were excellent hosts, even taking the time to help me back in to a difficult spot. The views here are amazing and the trails are clear and filled with history. The showers are warm and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Bill treats the campsite like an extension of his yard and keeps the landscape impeccable. Iwould love to return someday.

A good time was had by all! My wife & I went on a 1/2 day paddle this past Sunday. Our guide, Norris, was top notch. Knowledgeable, friendly, well prepared. Equipment was well maintained, facility is very well organized. We are mid level kayaker's, but not too experienced in sea kayaking. Norris was very easy to learn from. HIGHLY recommended!

Ren A — Google review

Been going for years. Bill is as friendly as always. Bill loves paddlers, either with their own boats or needing to rent one. Perfect for kayaking the most scenic paddling on the east coast. Bill has a fresh water pond for rolling or self-rescue practice. You can paddle out and stay on an island for an overnight and then return to the camp ground for a hot shower and go into town for a nice meal. Always clean and quiet.I highly recommend this out of the way jewel of the Maine coast.

Jonathan L — Google review

We rented kayaks and did a half-day tour with our four kids. Bill was super friendly and accommodating with our younger ones. Rebecca (at the desk) and our guide, Kristie, were fantastic-- fostering independence with the kids, encouraging them when they were tired, setting up kayak games to help with their skills and geocaching on the island, educating us re edible plants and hidden wildlife. Fantastic experience... would highly recommend Old Quarry OA.

Walkers Point, located on Ocean Avenue, served as the summer White House during George H.W. Bush's presidency. The seaside peninsula is a favorite retreat for the Bush family and has hosted friends and dignitaries from around the world. Access to the compound is limited due to Secret Service protocol, but visitors can still enjoy picturesque views of the area from the roadside. Despite limited visibility due to privacy measures, it's still worth stopping by for a glimpse of this historic location.

I know you can't get closer, but it was fun to pull over on the side of the road to view it from a distance. The Bush family has used the Walker Point Estate since since the day's of George H.W. Bush's great-grandfather.

Absolutely beautiful. Couldn’t believe how close to the road it was. Many different places to pull in and take pictures. Also, go through the church. It’s stunning. And they have seating outside if it’s nice to have service while looking at the ocean.

You know how you envision how a place must look in your mind, growing up hearing about the Bush Summer White House in Kennebunkport, and then you get there but it's not at all like you expected but you didn't know what to expect anyway? There you go.

Limited parking. So that's the Bush Compound! Nice 👍 place! The captain of the boat, who the late President George H.W Bush called "Pirate", that belongs to New England Eco Adventures, was invited to visit the Compound along with other fishing 🎣 boat captains in the area. "Pirate 🦜" said the place was nice 👍 and was served drinks and hors d'oeuvres. If you are able to visit Walkers Point, why not!

This place is worth it just for the drive in alone. Super cool views. It poured rain when we were there but still worth it.

Jenna T — Google review

Beautiful view. We heard the blow hole and found it after walking down the path. Peaceful. Loved seeing the Texas flag in Maine. There's a small memorial to GHWB & a very large anchor. Only allowed 15 minutes if parking is available. My phone lost service at this area, hmmm. Secret service at the entrance to the compound. We waved, no response.

Pull over on the side of the road to grab a couple pictures as you head through Kennebunkport. What you can see is limited for privacy, but it’s still cool to see! I recommend reading up about the compound before going.

Passed by this great place in 2011 on my way to 136 Mills Road, before finally settled into 12 Mills Road, Cape Porpoise Motel, Kennebunkport, Maine. Great Compound. Secret Service Protocol kept me from entry without a prior appointment. The family is good and very accommodating. Only keep the rules.

St. Ann's by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located in Kennebunkport, is a historic stone chapel that has been serving the community since 1887. The church was built using stones washed onto the shore and features stunning stained glass windows, an impressive organ, and beautiful gardens. It offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and welcomes visitors from all over to admire its Gothic-influenced design.

When Passing by Kennebunkport Maine it's nice to stop by this place and have a short reflection or prayer. Been here 2x this year 1st was in summer and the 2nd was in fall. Both season was nice. Although during summer the town tends to be busy with tourists which is the total opposite during fall. The town is more quiet and less tourist however much of the shops are almost are closed for the season in fall. But st. Ann's chapel is a must visit when dropping by Kennebunkport.

Rhea T — Google review

Such a beautiful old stone church with the most wonderful stained glass windows! Im so glad it was open to explore. This is also a beautiful spot to take in the ocean with many sailboats passing by. It only takes 10-15 minutes but its worth seeing.

Ingrid H — Google review

Beautiful stone chapel overlooking the ocean in Kennebunkport, ME. A must see in my opinion. Don’t forget to check out the small garden in the rear which features a stone bench dedicated by the Bush children to the memory of their parents.

Andrew B — Google review

This is a cute little and beautiful church. If you are in this area, this is must visit. We are not catholic but we visited and found it very beautiful. They have prayers on Sunday. There is also an seaside chapel. Its a perfect place to get married.

St. Ann's By the Sea is an absolute gem in Kennebunkport. Even though we didn't have the opportunity to attend a service, we were struck by the beauty and timeless feel of this historic stone church. The architecture is impressive, and the stained glass windows are simply breathtaking. The oceanfront location adds another layer of serenity to the experience. Whether you are seeking a moment of spiritual reflection or simply admiring beautiful craftsmanship, St. Ann's By the Sea is well worth a visit.

Marcus H — Google review

So beautiful and calming. I was thrilled to come here from New Mexico and find this church open. Heartfelt blessings to all! 🙏

Laura C — Google review

Stopped by this chapel on a quiet Sunday morning in early October. The doors were open and we were able to look around. It's located in a very beautiful spot right on the ocean. Took maybe 10-15 minutes to just relax and enjoy the view.

Exquisite Holy Place! Reggie…the groundskeeper of this magnificent structure is a pearl of great price….very apropos for such a dear chapel.

Amy F — Google review

If you’re in the area, (in our opinion) this is a must stop! This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve seen. We’re not Catholic, but we definitely appreciated the beauty of this historic place. Right as we got here it began to rain lightly and the few people that were there ended up leaving. We spent awhile wandering around, just taking it all in. The beauty of seeing it in the rain, is that all of the stones change to bright and magnificent colors when wet. They hold seaside services at 8am and stone chapel services at 10am on Sundays, where everyone is welcome. The stained glass windows are absolutely stunning and the craftsmanship of the stonework is amazing. Pictures do not do this place justice.

Nice church established in the late nineteen century. It’s particularly interesting as constructed of irregular big rocks. The interior is modest but it’s easy to have an admiration for it. The stained glass works inside the church are really nice.

He is a wonderful man full of information. You might find him near the carriage house. The gardens are lovely.

We took a drive along the ocean and came upon St. Ann’s. It was a bit foggy this day but that didn’t stop us from taking in the sites of the church ⛪️ and their beautiful property. Very peaceful and extremely well kept outside and inside. The bold red door is so inviting. Upon entry, just the aisle view itself is simply gorgeous. Lovely stonework and vivid stained glass windows throughout. A definite must see in your drive through this quaint little port town.

The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport is a captivating indoor-outdoor destination, boasting an extensive collection of restored public transit vehicles and historical artifacts. As the oldest and largest mass transit museum in the country, it offers a fascinating journey through transportation history. Visitors can explore historic trolley cars, rapid transit trains, trolley buses, and motor buses while taking a 25-minute trolley ride.

Our toddler loves all things trains, so the Trolley Museum was a must stop for us AND it was a rousing success! If you even have a remote curiosity about trains/trolleys/transportation, this is a must visit!!!! They have a rebuilt track with restored trolleys from throughout the United States that the volunteer conductors will give you an enjoyable history about! While you're riding the trolleys (which is unlimited rides while you're there as part of your ticket) you'll get a great overview of the history of the museum and the trolley line itself. The whole ride is about 35-45 minutes. In addition to that, there's tons of trolleys being restored or have been restored on-site that you can checkout as well as buses and other vehicles. There's restored railroad crossings and so much more. This a worthwhile visit that has left at least our toddler begging for us to take him again!

Steve T — Google review

Interesting place. Your ticket includes a trolly ride, and you can explore the garages with many restored and preserved streetcars. Dress appropriately as almost everything is outside.

Jim K — Google review

Staff is incredibly friendly and there’s a lot to see. Everyone we spoke with was very knowledgeable and answered any and all questions we had during our trolley ride. Only complaint is the trail was a bit hard to follow, even with the map, as it wasn’t well marked.

Nikkia P — Google review

Amazing museum with a great collection of old trolleys from around the world, model train set, restoration barn, and more. Our favorite part was riding the trolley down the rail line a few miles through the woods. The conductors and staff were friendly and kind, inviting our kids to ride in the front and even try on their conductor hats for pictures. The staff were so generous to share their passion and knowledge with all of the visitors. Tickets are good for unlimited same day rides if you have time to linger. Definitely worth a stop!!

Kaitlyn W — Google review

I don’t know why we have waited to come here throughout the years visiting Maine. This is truly a national treasure. They have been trying to keep the spirit alive with trolleys. Many open spaces to have kids and adults walk through the history of trolleys and other older transportation equipment. They have procured and few from other countries as well. I really liked one car from Manchester NH. The ornate decorations speaks out to what the ride must have been on Manchester Street-NH. Tom was a pleasure to have on our ride and has great insight to the history of the museum and the history of trolleys. Our kids had a blast walking around and adults can read along the well documented signs they have displayed at most trolleys. Make sure to check out all barns.

Gregory A — Google review

A great place to visit for family or anyone who loves the bygone era of trolleys and stations. You can take the kids on a trolley ride, nice little museum geared for kids with a small gift shop. There is a great collection of old trolleys elevated tram buildings.Friendly help that is very eager to share their knowledge about artifacts on the grounds. At the time of our visit an expansion was just underway so more is coming.

Troy A — Google review

Absolutely recommend visiting this place if you're even remotely interested in history, transit, or just want a fun unique experience! The Seashore Trolley museum is one of the coolest museums I have ever visited. As a transit geek such as myself, learning all about the history of streetcars, where they went, and future history behind it is amazing. They have a HUGE collection of old trolleys and even buses from all over the United States and even some outside of the US! Trolley rides are offered on historical trolleys to a small mini park giving visitors an excellent guide on the history of trolleys. You can also bike along the same track (if you so wish). For getting there, it's best to have a car, but if you don't, the Amtrak Downeaster stops nearby in Saco and Wells, a Greyhound bus serves Wells as well. Note that a Taxi/Uber IS required to access the museum as it's decently remote. Anybody in the Maine area stopping by that is visiting this area MUST stop here!

Great time with our toddler see Daniel the Tiger and going on a short little trolly ride. Fun for the kids. Ample parking. Large store for gifts and snacks. Pleasant staff. Worth an afternoon trip.

Adorable place that is super fun to visit for adults and children alike! Lots of very interesting historical information available, cool interactive activities, incredible staff, and a surprise ride on a historical trolley! How cool is that?!

M.S. P — Google review

This was so much fun. The people working there know so much about all the electricity powered trolleys there. I didn't realize how prevalent they used to be. The ticket allows you to do a multi-mile tour on a refurbished trolley. It was way longer than I expected and was awesome!I went because of my husband and we both had an amazing time. It's a must do while in Kennebunkport!

Kristin K — Google review

The length of the trolley ride was just right for our family. Checked some boxes. We didn't explore too much around the grounds, though, as we were low on time. We did spend a good amount of time in the model train area, although not finished, it was still nice. Might need signs in the bathrooms in that new building to know which button to use to flush that fancy toilet, haha. All the staff and volunteers were very nice.I found the prices at the gift shop pretty standard, and I'm so excited about the train duck.

Jessica W — Google review

Everyone was very nice. The trolley was beautifully decorated, and they had hot chocolate for the kids. They also had a fire pit with marshmallows to roast.

Barbara B — Google review

We had such a fun day there!! Make sure you leave extra time for the trolley ride during your visit. The conductor we had today told us he had been working there for over 30 years. The other conductor had lots of good history to share. The entire space has so many eras of trains, buses, and trolleys including double deckers from the UK that you can climb into and up to the top! They also just opened a really cool model train exhibit—it was so detailed and we felt lucky we got to see it on our trip up here. Also side note they sell Moxie and it was like a blast from the past having it again after so many years! I highly recommend checking this museum out.

What a great place ride the trolleys and see their new awesome donated exhibit!

Karenlee N — Google review

Was a cool little journey back in time. Trail ride was alittle shorter then I had anticipated but nevertheless the guides were great and all around it was a good little short adventure. Trail ride ticket came with free admittance to trolley museum.

This place is amazing, and during the holidays, wow!! I took my dad in December, and we had a blast! The trollies are beautifully decorated, your tix gets you access to all of the public building, you can see a whole fleet of trollies/trains in various stages of restoration. There is a room for kids with Mr. and Mrs. Clause (real people!), a gingerbread train station, activities, free hot coco. The ride is 30 minutes through beautiful woods, and at the end, there was a wood fire with marshmallows to roast. The staff are amazing, it was so low key and SO much more affordable than other holiday train rides. The trolly was warm, very toasty. Supporting a non-profit feels good, and this one was so great! I highly recommend! We went to the Candy Land room in the lincoln hotel in Biddeford after the trolly ride....it was a perfect day! Go, enjoy, don't delay!

Gregin D — Google review

The volunteers were very kind and clearly doing great work. Of course the children loved it. Trolley ride was the best part. Restored trolley’s were great too. Cool stuff. Could have used a bit more guidance and more stuff to visit and see.

I thought this was a fascinating museum, covering trolleys in the world's first and largest museum of mass transit vehicles. It was fun to walk through some of them and hear about the history of transportation. They do run seasonally - opening in May, 2024. They also run seasonal events.

Theresa J — Google review

Fascinating collection of beautifully restored and soon to be restored trolleys. The included trolley ride is pleasant; but the historical commentary could be a bit more practiced. There is construction going on, and many restricted area. Better signage to allowable paths would be helpful. Don't miss the restoration shop!

Great museum, very interesting and fun day out. Kids will love it it here, adults too but you’ve got to enjoy kids screaming and crying around you lolThe lady who sold us tickets didn’t give me the sheet with all the info on it, so we were confused for a bit. I went back and asked for more info and received the info sheet and clarification on where you could go while waiting for the trolley.Trolley ride is short but very interesting and nostalgic. As of Oct 9th, it will stop and let you out to pick a pumpkin to bring back to paint at the station.Google stated rate was $13 for an adult but it’s $15.

Great museum! We didn't have enough time to spend here.

Beautiful discovery !Dog friendly 🐶 (no add fees)We enjoyed it sooo much !You can do the short trolley ride (multiple departure) and visit the museum at your rythm. We learn they organised events sometimes and it must be very beautiful (the dinosaurs, the pumpkins, etc) There's also a beautiful gift shop. You can find picnik tables outsides to eat and there's games at your disposition ! We spent the day there and it was fun and relaxing. The whole staff is also very friendly !If you're looking for a vintage and historic experience, not too expensive, pet and family friendly, I recommend 🤗

CaroLyne H — Google review

As a longtime train enthusiast, I greatly enjoyed the museum. The ride on a historic, fully restored trolley car is very scenic, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly. There are many sights to see on site, including several preserved railroad interlocking towers, antique transit buses, and subway cars from New York and Boston. Definitely worth a visit for any history buff.

Amazing little place to spend a little time with family. Very kid friendly. I went with some older family and they loved it. Staff were very nice and helpful! The tour was fun. Really makes you think of the old days lol.

Nature & Parks

The Isles of Shoals is a cluster of nine small and sparsely populated islands with simple 1800s hotels, churches, and cottages. It is an exceptional place to visit by taking the Island of Shola Steamship authority for approximately 4 1/2 hours trip from Portsmouth, NH. The main island has a big hotel and several small buildings where visitors can enjoy trails around the island and historical sites. The community is excellent, caring, and welcoming to all visitors.

Outstanding place to visit. We took the Island of Shola sSteamship authority for the 4 1/2 hour or so trip which left from Portsmouth, NH. When you arrive at the island you are surrounded bya cluster of Islands and the boat drops you off at the main island which has a big hotel and a numbr of small builders. There ws a snack shop with a great Lime Rickey. Lots a trails around the iland and hostirical sites. Watch out for nesting seaguls which can be agressive.

John A — Google review

It's such a beautiful ride out. gets a little cold on the way out but the view of the ocean is worth it. you learn a little bit about the islands the history when taking the boat ride, there's tours you can take when visiting and you can also can stay there on the island which I've never done. I really enjoy all of the old buildings and all of the nature surrounding it!🌱🌿

Motif #1 is a famous red fishing shack located on Bradley Wharf in Rockport, known for being an iconic and frequently painted building. It is considered one of the coolest attractions in Rockport and has even made appearances in movies like Finding Nemo. Visitors can explore the area around Motif #1, including Bearskin Neck with its charming shops and galleries.

Beautiful place in New England. Spend some time wandering around in shops, restaurants, near the water. Motif #1 is historic, and great to photograph or paint.

Very nice little town to visit and get the true feel of New England.

Lovely place. Difficult to reach by car due to many pedestrians on the street. There is no sidewalk, so everyone shares the road. Please drive slowly!

There is a reason this is one of the most visited sites for artists and photographers. Picturesque East Coast harbor. Worth a stop and spending time in Rockport.

It is the symbol of this beautiful town, a red fishing cabin in the middle of the port with a multitude of wooden lobster buoys hanging from its walls. I wasn’t exactly sure what the significance of this building was, but it is definitely super photographable and cool place to check out. It’s right by all the lobster traps and boats moored in the harbor.

I was just in Rockport MA on Saturday for a day trip. Not all shops were open that day in this quaint city by the bay. Great restaurants, coffee shops, and this and that shops. Its lovely to visit in the summer when everything is in full swing and you can sit buy the ocean. Enjoy your time there

Angela B — Google review

When you think of the quaint New England fishing village...this is the place. Rockport, MA is easy to see in a few hours time.

MARK K — Google review

It was definitely on my photography bucket given the history of the original being the most painted building in America. However, it's inaccessible by car and other than snapping a picture from afar, there's nothing else to really do. A pretty area though!

Ashley — Google review

located inside a small town it was a decent walk to get an average picture. i’m honestly not too sure what all the hype is behind this building. i looked up the history behind it and it’s literally just a storage unit for fisherman to use. the scenery around it was very tranquil though.

Chase W — Google review

Perfect place to experience the beauty of a costal town. Amazing food, shops and unimaginable beauty!

If you are traveling north of Boston I highly recommend stopping to walk around Rockport, especially the Bear Skin Neck neighborhood. We went there to take pics of Motif#1 and found that walking around Rockport was a blast! So many fun little shops and galleries. Definitely worth a day trip. We went on a chilly Sunday in early April and there were still lots of people. I can imagine the summer is even more busy. We were lucky to get a good parking spot. If it were summer I would suggest getting there very early. We also walked to the headland which provided a really great view of the seaport from a different perspective.

Lookouts

Bearskin Neck is a charming coastal street in Rockport, known for its quaint shops and restaurants. Visitors are advised to park in a central location and explore the area on foot, with public metered parking available along the main street. The town offers a non-commercial atmosphere and affordable dining options, including ice cream, lobsters, and oysters. The peninsula features small shops selling local artwork, jewelry, ice cream, and fresh seafood.

Such a lovely stroll every time! The shops are always fun to browse. We stopped and had ice cream and of course we walked the jetty. Cannot bear some fresh sea air.

Bearskin Neck is a small neck of land that juts out of the town center into Rockport Harbor, and which according to legend was home to bears during colonial times. Currently it houses many Artisans and restaurants, making it a popular shopping desination, and is a picturesque walk anytime of the year. The look and feel has lended itself to be featured in several movies over the last 20 years. When you visit North of Boston , it is a must see area.

State park

Nature & Parks

Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, just a 15-minute drive from Gloucester, offers stunning coastal views and a variety of activities. The park sits on 440 million-year-old granite and features wildflowers, a visitors center, sunbathing spots, hiking trails, and picnic areas. Once a granite quarry, the park now showcases the Earth's raw beauty and power.

Lots of spaces and places to enjoy your me time, or family time. Great scenery. Easy access to the water. Though you not suppose to swim, you can at least dip your legs in the clean and refreshing water.Getting to the ocean, there is a need to maneuver around some brush, stones, and mud but there were elderly doing it, so I am sure those younger can too.Enjoy!

Yaniv K — Google review

This is a nice park on the water. The parking lot is across the street from the park itself. The trail is well maintained and pretty wide. It’s mostly crushed stones so you can walk it in any footwear. One of the first things you’ll come across is the quarry. It’s pretty big and you’ll be looking down at it. Swimming is not allowed but is a fan favorite of ducks. There’s a few different overlooks. There’s also a couple of overlooks to the beach and ocean. There’s also trails to the beach. The pathway is basically a loop that takes you to the visitor center and back to the parking lot. You have to pay for parking via the kiosk.

Bradley T — Google review

I've been coming to Halibut Point State Park for about 7 years now. Over the past couple years, a lot of work has been completed to clean up the trails and the location in general. In the summer, there are lots of wildflowers coloring the scene, and the view down by the water is just amazing. If you don't mind a walk back in the dark... Sunset down by the water, or up in the cliffs is an absolute must.

J. K — Google review

I went to Halibut Point State Park on a nice spring Saturday afternoon this month. This state park was not crowded as it is the off season, however there were still many people coming and going for the beautiful views. Grounds were clean, dogs allowed at least for the season I went, and there are even some picnic benches around. There are restrooms as well. Not much parking so be sure to get there early during the warmer months. This is a perfect place to spend an hour or two and have lunch. There are some steep ledges at times so be aware with children/pets. I highly recommend this park to someone that is looking for a relaxed walking trail with some inclines at times depending which trail you take. All trails are marked clearly and the map at the entrance is easy to follow. Trails are clear and wide. Be sure to walk down to the rocks and see the breathtaking views.I will be coming back here in the summer!

Amanda M — Google review

We hiked around there and had a great time. There's a nice little loop around the lake with some side trails for extra hiking. There's tons of wildlife and they have a list of cool sites you can stop and check out including a rocky shoreline, a nice cliff (great for pictures) and more!

Green F — Google review

The entire park is extraordinarily beautiful. From the flooded quarry to the rocky ocean shores, this place is gorgeous. The only thing that could make it better is if the quarry was swimmable.

Taylor J — Google review

Perfect place for weekend get away. Nice hiking trails around the query or to the shore of the ocean. A little bit of history in the park house. Over all nice weekend away from the city. You can see some nice flora and fauna during your walk.

I D — Google review

This is quite a nice state park. The lake in it looks amazing and it has a great hiking trail around it. I came here in late May so it was warm and beautiful. The beach doesn’t have any sand which is sad but it has many rocks that you can climb on! I had a great time climbing on them and there were a lot of snails, barnacles, and mussels. During that time, it was low tide so many of the rocks were exposed. Not sure what it looks like during high tide though. There was also a nice mountain of rocks that I didn’t have the time to climb. It was really cool and I put it in the pictures below. In general, a wonderful state park that you should give a try if you end up in Rockport!

Ethan Y — Google review

Beautiful. Plenty of parking and well maintained. Stunning ocean views. Relaxing and wheelchair accessible.Fun for all ages. We like to picnic on the large stones. It's always a win.

Ketna K — Google review

Great spot for a small hike. It's very easy hike to get to the ocean point. Been here before at night for Stargazing! It's an amazing night if you like to hear the waves and just relax. There were few people fishing.

Hasitha R — Google review

Gorgeous sites. Walk is very short and flat to the coastline…the walk down to the rocks is a bit steep but totally worth it.Public restroom wasn’t open when I was there however there are portajohns in the parking lot.Out of state parking is $20 a vehicle, in state was $5 a vehicle.

Megan S — Google review

We enjoyed a wonderful day with a great hike along the ocean. You can also explore the park trails and tide pools.Or have a picnic on the rocky ledges. Learn about the history of Cape Ann's granite industry. However, parking is very limited.

Liisa S — Google review

Beautiful park with amazing granite quarry. The visitor center shows the history of how the granite was mined and also shows the how area was used by the military during war. You can climb several flights of ladder like steps to get to the top and there are pictures showing how far you can see from each level. Very interesting and educational.

Kim S — Google review

Absolutely gorgeous!Dog friendly on a leashRestrooms openStroller friendly hikes! You’ll have to ditch the stroller to get to the ocean but majority is stroller friendly and easy to walk along!

KVW A — Google review

honestly this is one of those places that you just HAVE to visit if you are in the area. if you live here, you already know about it. it's a really nice place to take a walk, to hang out with friends, to meditate, to breathe, to listen. it's definitely not the place for tomfoolery or littering, so be respectful and careful on the massive pile of rocks that constitute the viewpoint.

Anthony H — Google review

Nice State Park with small easy walking trails that lead to different views of the ocean and the quarry inside. Parking for $5 for Massachusetts residents and $20 for non-residents. Fees contribute to the State Parks so are always a great contribution!

Jordan H — Google review

Beautiful looking state park. The rocks on the edge of the ocean makes it more enchanting. You can sit on the rocks and experience waves splashing at you whole day! I loved my time spending here as the weather was bit cloudy. Family and kids friendly place. Don’t forget to bring your own food if you decide to stay up for a little longer time. There is also a small walking trail.

Suraksha H — Google review

It was a beautiful and easy walk. The views throughout the walk and at the point overlooking the water where you could see three (3) States were breathtaking!

Mark B — Google review

This park is incredibly beautiful, a veiw from every direction. This park is the perfect length for walking, takes you from fields of flowers to a stunning lake and then to the ocean. I believe the lighthouse has beverages, which had already closed when we were there, so check for hours or bring your own water because it can be quite warm in the summer. Also, there is a fee for parking, cheaper for residents, and there are porta-potties there which are across from the park. And if you want to bring your furry friend, it is also dog friendly. We had no problem maneuvering strollers around the park except for the path to the beach, it is steeper and very sandy.I hope you all get a chance to go and enjoy the veiw.

Kim F — Google review

A beautiful park! Great birding, wide paths.

Jaya W — Google review

We came here at the end of March. The temperature was in the high 40s. It was out of season. Which made it nice because it was quiet. Great views of the ocean, the lighthouse, and the granite quarry. Walking trails take you to all three places.

A wonderful state park that has been maintained very beautifully. Parking for out of state vehicle is 20$.There is small trail that you can walk around and enjoy all the scenic points and it makes it worth while. The ocean view was majestic . The cool breeze was such a breather.Definitely worth visiting if you are here.

Outdoor Activities

Wingaersheek Beach is a picturesque beach known for its opportunities to swim and explore during low-tide. The beach boasts of large boulders and a snack hut. It's recommended to arrive early, as this smaller but beautiful beach tends to fill up quickly. Italian ice carts can be found all around the area, making it perfect for children. The beach features crystal-clear shallow waters with no fear of waves, ideal for sand tire wheelchairs.

Get here early! It is a smaller, beautiful, clean beach and fills up.Love the Italian ice carts that set up everywhere.Perfect for kiddos! My father is also an amputee; the short/flat distance from the parking lot to the beach, bathroom, snacks is very nice for our family. The water is crystal clear and shallow so there is no fear of waves.Would be a good beach for sand tire wheelchair❤.

Marissa B — Google review

YOU MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS ONLINE FOR NON-RESIDENT PARKING. The city was very smart to implement this kind of system. We arrived at 10am and I simply showed my pass—it was effortless (I bought my pass a few days before). I appreciate Gloucester considering out-of-town folk because other towns do not and that’s not fair.It is an absolutely stunning beach. The sand is soft, white and it glistens. The water is very clear. Low tide is fun, water goes up to the calves at most. We went a little further past the rocks and were able to get deeper. We went exploring by the rocks as so many others did. Saw lots of crabs, super cool. It would be smart to wear water shoes by the rocks though, they can be slippery. There’s also a very strong rip current a little past the rocks that gave us a small scare so fair warning. Plenty of lifeguards around though and they don’t really let you jump off the rocks. At high tide you can actually submerse yourself more in the water. The water was not freezing but it was cold which was refreshing on the 95 degree day we went there.Food is pricey at the concession stand and the shop is pricey too but they had some cute items! They have two shower heads (though one was out of order) and it’s not private. It definitely does not properly accommodate the quantity of people they receive. While they have a huge dumpster as you leave the beach, it is still inconvenient as many people still litter. The beach trash policy is in and out but they would benefit from a few trash cans by the entrances of the beach and at the concession stand.Overall I highly recommend. We all loved the beach and it was well worth the drive.

Isamar P — Google review

The parking lot is a couple hundred feet from the beach, and there are about 2 entrances to the beach, located on either side of the parking lot. The parking requires a permit that you have to purchase beforehand, on the Gloucester city website, and it costs $35 per car. There is a shop with clothes, shoes, hats, etc. and there is a little food stand with some fried foods, drinks, and desserts. There are about 4 bathroom stalls in the parking lot, as well, which was great. There are some.rock formations on either end of the beach/shore, which are easy to climb and have a better look at the beach. The water is shallow and the tide comes in about twice a day during the Summer, it seems. When the tide is out, there is a small tide pool/puddles for kiddos to play in. The water was surprisingly, very cold, but was a welcome thing as it was very hot out. There are some small dunes along the walkway to the beach, which house some biting dragonfly-type bugs, so be careful and maybe carry some bug spray with you, especially if you won't be going in the water.Overall, it was a great time, and the crystal-clear water and lovely, soft sand was a very welcome site. We'd definitely like to go back!

Serene S — Google review

We love photographing engagements, senior and family portraits here. This beach is beautiful and has so many spots to shoot from. It's always very clean. This is 100% The Ewings go to beach!

Erica E — Google review

What an absolute GEM! The sand is butter soft, the view is incredible, the location is great (holy cow ice cream is amazing and close by). We got there early and stayed until about 3:00 and grabbed early dinner and ice cream and headed back for low tide and the sunset. I couldn't believe all the sand dollars, clams, crabs, and the VIEW! Amazing amazing amazing. Worth the trip! You MUST buy your ticket ahead of time, I highly suggest a week in advance and try to get there by 11 to secure a good spot. There are clean bathrooms and a food stand (we did not get anything but looked good! CAREFUL OF SEAGULLS they will snatch any and all of your food!) Very clean, very family friendly quiet beach with small waves and not freezing water. No boogie boards or puddle jumpers allowed. Enjoy!

Jessica W — Google review

Make sure you buy a parking permit online through winkpay. I did a beach crawl through a good amount of beaches in Gloucester and this is the best one! Super soft white sand, clear clear waters. Pretty shallow for a good while -you can walk right into the water. Very nice and spacious. Had an amazing time here.

Melissa E — Google review

I should know by now never to "cheat" on Wingaersheek Beach. I had an old friend visiting over the summer and her one request was to go to the beach. My gut told me to take her to Wingaersheek, but then she said she wanted to see waves, and Wingaersheek is notoriously calmer. I took her to a cheaper, stinkier beach (rhymes with "Shmahant"), but then decided that I couldn't let her go back to upstate New York thinking that was what New England beaches looked like, so we packed up and drove from Stinky Red Tide Beach to Gloucester. She loved it so much that she asked to go back the next day. This beach is great for any age, but I find it particularly relaxing with small children, as it's a calm, shallow beach with all kinds of wildlife to explore during low tide. Order a pizza, carry in some chilled beverages, and then enter the park shortly after 5pm for sunset dinner. You'll avoid paying an entrance fee, it won't be too crowded, and you won't be sorry!

Lisa E — Google review

Nice long beach but on this holiday week end it was crowded! We arrive after 4pm to pay less (25$ which was still too much). Beautiful landscape, with the dunes. I didn t rate 5 stars because of the crowd.

Dadou — Google review

very pretty. needs cleaned, has sand fleas. So if you don't mind trash and being eaten alive its beautiful.

Vixy's L — Google review

Litter sucks a bit and it's a bit sad that the little food area and everything else other than just the beach is so below average, especially considering they paywalled the area. Why charge so much for non-locals to visit if you're not going to use that money to make it a better place? Fix those issues and it could be the best beach in the state. Until then, it's a good spot that just needs a bit of love.

R. W — Google review

It’s a beautiful place to relax at and enjoy your time there with family and friends and the kids adore coming over the summer only thing is parking is almost $40 but if you don’t mind paying then it’s an absolutely amazing experience and place you the kids, family and friends. The water is super clear compared to other beaches in Massachusetts definitely a different experience here than any other beach iv gone to in Massachusetts most beautiful beach that iv ver seen in Massachusetts definitely worth taking the ride to enjoy you summer hot day out there and even getting some ice cream at the the snack hut that they have before entering the beach❤️‼️‼️

Such a beautiful hidden gem. Came during the week after 5pm to watch the sunset with my son.It was a great afternoon!

Deimarys C — Google review

love this beach!! the water is actually clear and not filled with seaweed everywhere, the sand is clean as well. just wish there was an outdoor shower but everything else about this beach is perfect!!

Sofia N — Google review

This beach is different. Big boulders all around. It's a small beach with plenty of croud. So during weekends the parking gets full. And there's also a huge parking fee, I think $30. Local residents get preferred and need to reserve beforehand. I parked after 5 which is free but still the parking were absolutely full. Be prepared to turn around if your not local and haven't reserved beforehand.

Shahedul I — Google review

This is a gem! It’s such a beautiful beach to go with family, friends or a solo trip. The water is clear, the people are nice, you have showers, theres a shack that sells food and even items such as sun block, towels, beach toys and more. I recommend Wingaersheek Beach 100%. Make sure to purchase your parking ticket prior to going to the beach through the Blinkay app. You are able to purchase your parking ticket as early as 10 days prior to your visit.

I love it here, they have great food! They already have air conditioning.🥰

Good beach, fine sand and you can walk along the beach when tide is low in the afternoon. Parking is not friendly. 35$ for nonresident.

Chang C — Google review

Get your pass ahead of time to visit this beach as they only sell so many. Water was warm, as it is fairly shallow. Snack shack and stuff shop is conveniently located at the walk way up to the beach.

Charles C — Google review

An ok beach. You need to book in advance. On low tides you can walk in sea for almost half a mile and water stays under your waist. Very soft sand. Not much space on beach on high tide.

Amir T — Google review

Came here for my first time this past weekend and I can't wait to come back! Obviously if your out of state or not a resident pre book your parking spot a few days before hand, I did it 3 days before on the "Blinkay App" with no problem, pre warning it is a bit pricey at $37. Overall the beach was beautiful! The water was blue/turquoise green, the sand was so soft, no rocks. We got there for 8am and we got to find a lot of wild life, from huge clams, to hermit crabs, shrimp, a dead horseshoe crab, and you got to walk out extremely far. I really enjoyed climbing rocks and taking pictures from them. There are bathrooms, and showers, also about 3 porta potties. There's a food area with a nice big menu but no prices. My friend got 3 small fires, and two waters and it came to $50, just for reference. There is also a shopping little area with shirts/sand toys/sunglasses/etc but very expensive. The seagulls were just like any other beach, you have your food out or lying around unattended they will attack it and or you, so be careful. The water was very shallow for quite a ways but I liked that, it was also really cold, and I'm use to cold water but I don't know why I couldn't take it this past weekend, it was only 75 but there was about 10 MPH winds. The drive for me was about 2 hours, all high way, I had no problems in the morning since I left early and got there for 8am which is when parking opened. Leaving around 4:30pm I of course hit Boston traffic which is to be expected. Overall it felt like paradise and I plan on coming back again this summer!

One of the most beautiful beaches in Massachusetts, this location truly exceeded our expectations. The beach is exceptionally clean, with wide open spaces that are perfect for spreading out and enjoying a day in the sun. It's ideal for families looking to have a fun and relaxing vacation. We started our Memorial Day weekend here, and it couldn't have been better. The gentle waves and soft sand made for a perfect beach day. A unique feature is the "crocodile rock" that you can spot—make sure to look for it!However, it's important to note that parking needs to be reserved in advance online, so be sure to plan ahead.Overall, this is a must-visit beach in Massachusetts and definitely one we'll return to!

A2C T — Google review

An absolute gem!Pristine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. It's perfect for families with its gentle waves and spacious shoreline, ideal for building sandcastles or simply relaxing under the sun. The surrounding natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere make it a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Facilities are well-maintained, including clean restrooms and ample parking.Whether you're a local or visiting from afar, Wingaersheek Beach promises a delightful day by the sea that's worth returning to again and again.

Our family grew up going to this beach on a regular basis. We have so many happy memories here. It's unfortunate that it is what appears to be limited to Gloucester residents only or you now pay a hefty fee to park there, if it's available. For those who are able to have access to this beach, enjoy it and make memories. It's simply beautiful.

Victoria — Google review

Parking reservation was quick and easy. Arrival just had to show receipt to get scanned. There was plenty of space for all Beach goers. The water was nice and cool. Clear water and lots of photo opportunities. There are 3 sections with #2 being the most packed (middle section). Section 3 had rocks around and didn't have waves like section 2 had. Overall, amazing time with the family!

Christina B — Google review

Dog-friendly between Oct 01 to Apr 30. No parking reservation/fee during off season. Wonderful beach, perhaps best one on East coast. Doggies absolutely loved it. So much fun.

Cat N — Google review

This is an unforgettable beautiful beach. The photo was taken in the summer of 2022. We waited until the sea tide ebbed, we could walk across the center of the beach in diameter, and then took this incomparably beautiful and moving photo. I will definitely come to this beach again this year🥰🥰 suitable for family travel 👍👍

Xiaoqing L — Google review

Definitely a good beach but if you are going in July please apply bug/insect repellent to your body.I didn't even realize during the stay but the next three days I was scratching my itchy hands and legs (I wore a tee and short)Free parking when I reached there after 5 PM

This is always a highlight of the summer and I always enjoy Granite State Whale watch! It never fails to be a fun day on the oceans and lots of sea life to enjoy! Enjoyed getting to see the Humpback mom and baby this trip!

Laurie L — Google review

What a fun and absolutely amazing experience. They took the time to shift us around to see as much as possible, we saw Humpbacks, Minke whales, dolphins and a seal.......The captain moved the boat around so all passengers could see these beautiful animals. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. I can't wait to come back!

Jason — Google review

The staff were excellent. I went with a handicapped person and they helped her on and off the boat. We saw 2 Harbor Seals 🦭, 6 Humpback Whales (one was a mother and calf), 3 Fin Whales, 3 Minke Whales, and a pod of White Sided Dolphins. Trip of a lifetime.

Jennifer H — Google review

Excellent whale watching experience, we got to see so many whales. Some of them came very close to the boat. The staff was very patient and really trying hard spotting the whales and not at all rushing to wind up early. They do have 99% success rate. Would surely recommend.

Vikram K — Google review

The whale watching tour was great! You get an awesome tour for price. Parking $5 owned by city. Word of advice the porty pot on the city lot was the most absolutely disgusting one I have ever seen. It's totally full to the top. This was not owned by the whale watching tour but by the city. Maybe they should take the parking money and add another pot. Would totally do another tour.

Tera B — Google review

Outstanding trip. We saw two humpback whales, several minkee whales and a seal. Very polite service and clean small ship.

Carl M — Google review

FANTASTIC DAY! The crew took time at each spotting. Naturalist on board to explain everything about whales and to identify the 6+ whales we saw by name. We also saw a blue shark. We'll do it again!

Aldrian R — Google review

Nice boat. Naturalists were informative and helpful. And we got to see whales breaching! (and some pelagic birds). Would recommend.

Janice S — Google review

Haven’t made it back to port yet, but so far so good. Even with a fully booked boat there is still plenty of space even on the upper deck. The staff is friendly as well. This company came recommended to me to which i am inclined to agree.Edit: nvm they actually hit the whale with the boat. I rescind my recommendation. Came up on two napping humpback whales at the surface. They kept maneuvering the boat closer and closer. I thought the captain must know what he’s doing.. but sure enough BAM! So much for not “disrupting the whales natural behavior”. Whales surfaced a few mins later and started floating/napping again and the boat cruised right over again. This time the whales weren’t taking any chances and dove before the boat got too close. Apparently just another day for Granite State Whale Watch. “We’ll get ya close enough to touch”—photos during the whale tap

Chipdipler B — Google review

Amazing!!! Fastest 4 hours ever! Great boat, captain and very informative guide! We saw 3 different species of whales, dolphins and a harbor seal!

Lisa H — Google review

We've whale-watched all over the North America! Alaska, California, Hawaii, California, Vancouver Island--this was the absolute best experience ever. Highly recommend!,

Amy T — Google review

AMAZING experience! Breathtaking views, we got to see quite a few whale sightings once we reached the gulf of Maine, and friendly knowledgeable staff. Long boat ride out - about 2 hours - then we spent about 1 hour whale watching - and 2 hours back. We came back in to a storm on shore and hit it at the perfect time for pics and made it back safely before any real thunder hit. Highly recommend!

Kristen B — Google review

My family had a great time! The crew knew their stuff. Saw a humpback whale, a fin whale, a minke whale, dolphins and even a tuna!

Andrew N — Google review

my first trip to the area, my first whale watch, and my three grown kids and one kid-in-law in tow for a summer reunion, so I was hoping this would turn out. boy, did it ever! perfect weather and calm seas got us off to a good start. and soon we were seeing pilot whales, sperm whales, finbacks and minkes -- puffing out breaths that shot spray high over the horizon, swimming briefly on the surface, and gracefully diving for another meal.best of all were the white-sided dolphins! we were lucky enough to visit two *massive* pods of these beautiful creatures, numbering in the hundreds! goosebumps, let me tell you! seeing so many at once was rare and breathtaking!thanks to the skilled and knowledgeable captain and crew for making this an adventure we'll never forget!

Tony T — Google review

This whale watch tour is amazing! Don’t look any further. Book the trip now. You won’t regret it. We saw so much marine wildlife on our trip - dolphins, seals, whales - it was awesome. We can’t wait to book another trip out there with them. As for the boat, there was plenty of room on board and they offer hot dogs, pretzels, bagels, etc, and drinks for you to purchase. You can also bring your own snacks (no alcohol.) Dress in layers since it’s colder out in the ocean and don’t forget sunblock. 5 solid stars A+++++++

Jennifer F — Google review

Went on a sunset cruise it was great. Staff are very courteous, n helpful.

Robert D — Google review

This was the whale watch of a lifetime! We lucked into finding a pod of about 100 dolphins, as well as 6 humpback whales and two kinds of seals. The dolphin experience was absolutely incredible. They were leaping and diving and racing the boat, right next to us and in front of us---everywhere I looked there were dolphins. I've been on quite a few whale watches and this was hands-down the most memorable experience I've had on one. The captain was respectful of the animals and kept his distance while still allowing us to get great looks, and the dolphins were the ones who were coming to us---just like a pack of friendly golden retrievers! It was incredible. The tour was narrated with just enough information to be interesting but not too much. I've already gone on several watches with this company, and I will certainly do so again! Highly recommended.

Unity D — Google review

Absolutely incredible experience! This was my first whale watch and it blew me away. We saw incredible marine life - a harbor seal, white sided dolphins, humpback whales and a fin whale - all incredibly beautiful. The crew were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. HIGHLY recommend.

Brianna D — Google review

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The boat was clean and spacious. You are able to ealk around the boat or sit on the upper deck to get views from all around. It was our lucky day and we saw 5 Fin whales, 2 different dolphin pods, and a Baskin shark. The staff was happy to answer any questions and provided lots of information on the wildlife that we saw.

Erin D — Google review

Boat was clean. Staff was informative. Wish the speakers were clearer and louder as it was hard to hear sometime while boat was going. We were able to see several whales. The staff were able to identify most of them which was cool. There was food, snacks, and drinks to purchase on board. Got a bit sea sick, but otherwise a good outing with my family.

Samantha H — Google review

Brought my family whale watching in early August. It was such an awesome experience. The boat was spacious and comfortable(and if you forget your sunglasses like me, they have some for sale at the little shop before you board the boat). The staff were super friendly and informative, and we were able to see tons of wildlife, including a pod of well over 100 dolphins!I would definitely recommend Granite State While Watch & will absolutely be returning in the near furture for more fun whale watching adventures! 🐋😊

Courtney M — Google review

Our trip with Granite State Whale Watch was a great experience. We were thrilled to see a Minke whale, a Humpback whale named Football, and two Finback whales during our excursion. The highlight was Football, the Humpback whale, who spent a lot of time swimming around our boat, giving us the perfect opportunity to capture numerous photos and videos. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We particularly enjoyed the staff member who came around with educational materials and answered all our questions, making the trip both fun and informative. We definitely recommend Granite State Whale watch!

Jen N — Google review

I'm writing this from the boat heading back to shore. Amazing time out on the ocean and lots of whales decided to show up. I love that this more than just a watch but also educational. Such a relaxing but educational tour and the whales were great. Saw a fin whale and seven humpbacks. A great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday morning. Highly recommended!

Jenne H — Google review

Friendly, knowledgeable staff who is just as excited as you are to be on the water and looking for all the creatures. Such a beautiful, fun, whaletastic day! 🐳

Nature & Parks

Hampton Beach State Park, located at the mouth of the Hampton River in New Hampshire, offers a classic New England seaside experience. The 50-acre park features white-sand beaches with tidal pools for kids and a vibrant boardwalk lined with restaurants, shops, and amusements. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the Atlantic Ocean, sunbathing on the well-maintained shoreline, or taking leisurely strolls along the water's edge.

This is a good beach for locals or vacationers as it's usually well kept. There's an assortment of shoppes open in the summer and enough activities to spend the day here. The beach is beautiful in winter, the sunrises are just as stunning in February as they are in July. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but there are definitely better areas 20-30 minutes away in Maine. If you happen to be visiting between May-August the center of sea creatures in worth a visit. Located on the beach, it's a small building with a one-way walking loop inside. There are touch tanks and more information than most can digest in a single visit. The staff are very passionate about their studies as most are undergrads working for the summer. The beach shoppes are what you'd find at pretty much every other recognized beach / pier area. Toys and summer clothes are available for a higher cost.If you're 21+ Bernie's Beach Bar is a great place to spend a (probably drunken) evening and night. They have a live showing venue on the second floor with a few mini bars, then a connecting deck with a full bar. We came July 2022 to see Lil Jon and some local artists perform. Not a good place to bring a 'pack of smokes' though, they do a decent search at the door and got mine from the inner seam of my wallet. Oops!

Jade Y — Google review

Very nice beach...great wave action and on particularly good days is popular with surfers! Almost like two beaches actually-- sandy and great for swimming to the south, and rocky and made for exploring to the north. Sidenote: very, very popular for walking dogs...I like dogs as much as the next person though like happens so many place they get a bad rep b/c of inconsiderate owners who don't pick-up after them.

Dan H — Google review

Nice but fairly small state park. No camping but tables, shelter, and grills. Enough parking usually but it does fill up. Visitors can make a reservation before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). Visitors who do not make a reservation will be admitted on a first-come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made prior to arrival and no later than 3pm on the day of your visit. Please plan ahead in the event the parking areas reach capacity.Parking Fees: $15 per passenger vehicle. NH residents age 65 and over $0.Recreational Vehicles (RV) must pay $30 as they require 2 parking spaces.Reservations are still recommended.Tollboth: ClosedBathhouse: Open 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.

I absolutely love Hampton Beach. The beach is beautiful and always clean. Never had an issue with parking- go early enough and you'll get a great spot, it's not expensive either I think maybe $3 an hour. The boardwalk has plenty of food options and stores if you want to shop or forget something. Bathrooms are okay- they're clean enough for beach bathrooms.

Michelle W — Google review

Massachusetts Senior Skip night was handled very well by the Hampton Beach and surrounding area police departments. We grew up coming to Hampton Beach from Maine, and the kids involved were vile and disrespectful. Thank you Hampton, please stay safe. We will continue to help support your town and townspeople. Massachusetts, I am sure you taught your children better, and I am sad these are the times we are living in. I do realize the kids have been locked up with Covid for more than 2 years and have a lot of steam to blow off.

Beautiful beach in the New England area, in New Hampshire. Never expected to see such nice sands and water in the North but the place is amazing. These pics were taken on the 4th of July so expect a lot of people during bank holidays, other than those, it should be super nice.

Mario T — Google review

Scenic beach in the New England area. The cities of Concord and Manchester are nearby. This is a perfect summer destination to add to a New England itinerary, especially headed north to Maine. My itinerary started in Boston and ended in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. The Atlantic waters are cold even in the summer. The sunrise is something to behold. On the weekends and holidays, try to get here early for parking opportunities. If headed upstate New Hampshire the white mountains are a must see especially in the fall with the changing leaves.

Richard G — Google review

First visit to this beautiful beach. The store front walkway was pretty awesome, so many different stores to browse through. Great food and entertainment. Definitely will return. I recommend getting here early to find parking. Arrived around 8:30 am left at 1:30pm. It was crazy busy upon leaving. I suggest using the mobile app to pay for parking. The line for pay here parking was crazy.

The views of the Atlantic Ocean are simply breathtaking, especially during sunrise or sunset. The lively boardwalk is packed with restaurants, shops, and amusements, providing endless entertainment options. Whether you're craving seafood, ice cream, or souvenir shopping, you'll find it all here.Hampton Beach has a fantastic, family-friendly atmosphere, making it a wonderful destination for a day trip or a longer beach vacation. The combination of natural beauty and fun activities makes it a must-visit spot on the New England coast

Great beach in New Hampshire. But avoid going during winters. All beach facing restaurants are closed.

VEERAJ R — Google review

Clean beach - not too crowded during the week. Nice to just relax and enjoy the seascape!

Jennifer D — Google review

Lovely beach, lots of people on a Saturday but still plenty of space in the water and to set things down. The shops around also have nice trinkets like geodes, plus smoothies and other food to cool off. Just beware of seagulls which WILL attack your snacks if your away for too long.

Reyna A — Google review

Love the state park. We had questions about parking as we have a handicap placard and the gentleman working was very kind and explained it to us. Bathroom facilities were clean. Even being off season we were able to get fried dough which was so good.

Daneille R — Google review

Hampton Beach is one of my favorite beaches to go with family and friends.

Alexander C — Google review

F Street has the best spot in Hampton Beach with bathrooms/changing rooms, a playground, nice Sea Ketch restaurant and lots of nice beachside view motels/hotels/resorts to choose from.

Fritz C — Google review

Awesome state park. Parking was a little bit of a challenge but we finally found some. The beach was mostly clean. It was busy but not crowded on a summer weekend (not a holiday). The bathhouse could use a cleaning but we got there around 3:00. There are plenty of shops for food and last minute beach supplies. My only con is parking. Wish there was a shuttle or trolley that ran in the summer to reduce the traffic and parking issues.

Scott — Google review

This beach is so beautiful and love to visit. We had a family gathering and we all found the staff was very rude to each of us entering, shouldn’t have staff members working with people if they can’t be happy and welcoming. We are all guests and should be welcomed with kindness. We are NH residents and very disappointed in our states choice of staff.

Jennifer ( — Google review

The area was very clean, nice view of the ocean. Everyone that was walking by us was very friendly. One lady even offered to take a picture for us

Katy P — Google review

Hampton Beach State Park is a fantastic coastal destination. The beach itself is expansive and clean, with soft sands and picturesque views of the ocean. The park offers ample amenities, including clean restrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off the saltwater. The well-maintained boardwalk is lined with shops, eateries, and entertainment options, creating a lively atmosphere. Lifeguards provide an added sense of safety, making it a family-friendly spot. Whether you're into sunbathing, swimming, or simply strolling along the shore, Hampton Beach State Park offers a wonderful beach experience for visitors of all ages.

Sreya S — Google review

Visiting this park in the off season is a very pleasant experience. There are no parking fees. Dogs are welcome on the enormous sandy beach. Two of the three restrooms are open. The size of the playground is so large, and the equipment is so colorful, that if I were a child, I'd consider it an amusement park .

Jim G — Google review

The annual sand sculpture competition is worth seeing. It's busy during the season. Parking close to the beach fills up quickly. Pay at kiosk. There are paid parking lots a couple of blocks away.

Jacqueline L — Google review

Love coming here. We came during the end of hurricane Lee because we're nuts lol Most of the stores and restaurants were closed but we kind of expected that. My husband and I ate at the Sea Ketch. Delicious! and we got to watch the beautiful scenery 😁

Erin R — Google review

I love coming out here every year and seeing the sand sculpting contest, the art work in them is insane! There is also some really good food and cute little shops to check out also! A little pricey but that's to be expected with the beach right there and everything else. Love also going to the deep sea fishing trip right up the road from here also! Absolutely amazing experience!

Old estate for horticulture-buffs with floral diversity, spectacular trees & mountain laurel stand.

Got the reccomendation to your come here from a friend. The trails here are absolutely beautiful and the view from sitting by the merrimack are equally nice. The parking is $5 for Mass Residents or $20 for NH Plates.Definitely a lovely place to go

Maudslay State Park is a hidden gem for nature lovers. The park's expansive trails wind through lush woodlands, offering breathtaking views of the Merrimack River. Wildlife enthusiasts will be thrilled by the abundance of birds, hawks, and deer. The park's meadows are home to a variety of wildflowers, making it a haven for photographers. In the spring, the blooming rhododendrons and azaleas are a must-see. Whether you're hiking, picnicking, or just taking in the serene environment, Maudslay is the perfect escape into nature.

Hidden gem, nice park on what was a private estate. Nice walking paths and open areas. You can also bring horses...

Roger S — Google review

Lovely way to while away à couple of hours. Picnic tables, shady walks. Nothing ling or strenuous. Expensive for non MA residents at USD20.

Michele W — Google review

One star if it was based on price alone. Residents of MA, $5.00,Non-residents $20.00 -> way to gouge the "guests" from out of state.Nice walking area, but I should have pitched a tent to get more for my $20 bucks.......

Dave P — Google review

Gorgeous large estate turned state park. Many trails to explore and experience various types of plants and wildlife. We saw rhododendrons that were at least 25’ tall!! So many buildings and gardens it kept us busy for 2 hours and we didn’t see half of the park. We saw some interesting buildings that we didn’t know what they were used for so that was fun to guess!! Definitely going back in the near future!

Allison M — Google review

This is a great place to get out and explore for the day. Lots of beautiful trails at a fairly mild level. Great for all ages. Pet friendly as well. Saw a lot of dogs and a few people on horses. A fun place. When you're done you can head down the road for ice cream and visit the farm stand. Will definitely be going back!!

Cindy P — Google review

Very nice park I enjoyed my walk and seeing all the great artwork.

Debra C — Google review

Wow what a gem! Absolutely amazing scenery and super trails. Plenty of walking. Easy trails to navigate along the river. The site of a former mansion that looked out over the water was amazing.

Steven J — Google review

We did 5.25 miles in 2 hours and 15 minutes. A great trail, well maintained and wide but could be marked better. Lots of dog walkers. We saw two deer about 30' from us. We also saw a red squirrel, a chipmunk and a snake swimming in the pond. It was a nice breezy day with no bugs. Make sure to see the tree lined road, gardens, fountain and pet cemetery. Watch out for horse poop and dog poop bags. A nice view of the Merrimack River on top of the hill. The only downside is $5 to park for MA residents and $20 for out of state residents, however there are bathrooms in the parking area.

Joseph C — Google review

Has stroller friendly and bike friendly trails along with hiking trails that aren’t as accessible for anyone on wheels.I brought a large stroller and was able to make my way around the main trails with little issue. Obviously it always sucks pushing a stroller through grass and dirt but I only got snagged twice. Was a bumpy ride for the little one though.

Views, Gardens, Crumbling RuinsReally quite an incredible state park: I arrived around 2pm and stayed for sunset. There are winding paths along the river, through the gardens, and in the old ruins of an 1800s mansion.Maudslay has a peaceful, almost magical feel.

Christina M — Google review

It’s a favorite stop for us. The grounds are well maintained and there are options for all physical levels. My only beef is the $20 for out of state plates and $5 for in state plates. It’s limited our trips this year and going forward

Mark T — Google review

Well kept grounds. Great place to walk dogs. Most visitors respect the leashing rules (but as always, there's always at least one who doesn't). Nice wide trails, views of the river, pretty gardens, large fields, gorgeous ancient trees, plenty of parking. Spotted a deer, which is always fun. I wish it wasn't $20 for out of state visitors, but it is what it is. A trash bin would be lovely, even if it were just in the restrooms. Will come back again. I love seeing nature and history being preserved. Thank you 🌳

One of the finest rhododendron gardens around with a fragrance so strong smiles are abound.Hard-working Rangers are helpful And kind, always to give you time. Highly recommend a hike all year round.

This is just a beautiful park all year round. My favorite months are May and June where different types of flowers bloom. You need to check on their website to see which ones in season. The park ranger was telling us next week might be peak. We were pretty happy with our hike. 👍👍

We attended maudslay is haunted trail walk. It was really fun for the whole family. Plenty of parking. Snacks and apple cider were delightful. Guided map along the beautiful trail to small vignettes performed by theater in the open. Lots of laughs too. Will definitely return next year for this annual event.

Absolutely beautiful park that I have been going to as a kid. It's about 400 acres in size so you could explore all day and still not see everything there is to see. Two fun facts: there was once a wooden castle on the property during the 19th century and there are Native American ceremonial mounds located on the property in the pine forest section near Pine Hill Road.

William B — Google review

This is my happy place on a fall morning. Anyone who enjoys hiking, or even an easy stroll will love this place. Maudslay has trails, gardens, fields and other stuff to offer. Not playgrounds or picnics. I don’t need to go into its history, but it is indeed interesting. Walk beside the Merrimack River amongst some beautiful trees and listen to the birds and such. There are some pretty wonderful views. Bring bug spray because it’s the worst to be eaten alive by mosquitoes when you’re trying to have a pleasant walk. You can see a lot if you plan to walk a few miles. Parking is $5.

The Rebecca Nurse Homestead is a historic site located just a few kilometers from Salem, Massachusetts. It was the former home of Rebecca Nurse, an innocent elderly woman who was executed during the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. The homestead offers visitors an authentic experience of the witch hysteria that gripped the community in the late 1600s. In addition to learning about this dark period in history, visitors can explore the beautiful garden, house, and grounds surrounding the property.

Very educational, loved the beautiful garden, house, grounds, etc... but I have to give huge thanks to the people who run it for the Porta potty. They were so clean and smelled so fresh like they have never been used!!

This was an incredible piece of History that has been maintained and also upgraded to show other characteristics of the times. The story of Rebecca nurse and the Salem Witch Trials will always live in my head and visiting this historical location was very solemn and Incredibly fascinating.

We visited recently & found our trip to be very educational. The estate is pretty, well maintained, and home to three different main landmarks. Candice was our tour guide - she told us many different historical narratives & answered all of our follow-up questions. I’d definitely recommend stopping here if you’re visiting Salem for the history!

Amazing Twilight Tour. Cemetary has graves from the Revolutionary War of her family as well. Well worth a tour. Takes about an hr.

Angela M — Google review

We went to Danvers and Salem hoping to learn lots about the history of the witch trials and we sure did! This was one of our favourite places on our visit. I loved going through the homes and through the cemetery to pay my respects to some of the victims of the witch trials and their families. The workers here were so friendly and kind. I also love that this place is maintained by volunteers. It really shows how much community means to MA and makes me want to find similar initiatives near my home! Thank you for such a great experience!

An amazing piece of history. Friendly staff and beautifully kept property.

Jamie T — Google review

Great place to visit if you're interested in the history of the Salem witch trials.

Noa M — Google review

I'm so glad we were in the area when it was open. Not so glad it happened to be the day of the Gala and we had to pay extra but it was out only day to do it as we live in Illinois. Rebecca Nurse is my Great (x11) grandma so of course I had to go. I love that you are able to visit and that it's still standing today.

Bethany S — Google review

The guides were very informative and knowledgeable. It was amazing to see what life was like 400 years ago and learn a specific story from the tragic Salem Witch Trials

Tricia M — Google review

We stayed in Salem and learned about this homestead while there. Going here allows you to see how Rebecca Nurse lived, and it is her burying place. You are able to see her family burial place and pay respects there. It is being preserved for all to see, and the drive is nice out of Salem.

Jen L — Google review

Short lecture on Rebecca's history in Salem before she was accused of Witchcraft. House an buildings are cool, and the cemetery is quaint.

Winnie R — Google review

Great tour, very knowledgeable people around who can talk about so many aspects of life here, and the trials, the laws, the families, the church, pretty much anything about life there and then.

Trish O — Google review

Moved to this area in July and are just starting to venture out to nearby historical places. This place is amazing and we met some very nice and knowledgeable people here too.Turns out the family graveyard here is just across the street from where we live!Amazing. We will return here!

Paul S — Google review

I'm a Salem resident and I am on a mission to tour all the local attractions AND historical places.About this one:I visited the Rebecca Nurse Homestead yesterday. It was my second time touring this historical site over the past few years and, again, I was not disappointed.Guided tours were not given the day I visited, but many volunteers were stationed around the Homestead to answerquestions and an audio tour is available online (I recommend to bring your earphones with you). What it is:Rebecca Nurse is probably the most well known victim from the Salem Witch Trials, a pious, well-respected member of the community. This did not exonerate her, unfortunately, from being accused, sentenced to death and hanged on July 19th 1692. At this location, you can visit the home where she lived - which is pretty amazing - and that back then was part of Salem. This area was called, at the time, Salem Village and now is part of the town of Danvers (the "current" Salem was called Salem Town). At this museum you can visit:- the house where Rebecca Nurse lived, with its 1700-1800 expansions and restored to look like it was during Colonial times. Open to the public are the gardens outside, the main room, the lean-to and a third room with a display of objects from the house. The second floor - with the bedroom - was not open to the public both times that I visited- a replica of the Meeting House from the time of the trials, built for a PBS movie. Fully furnished inside- a replica of a colonial barn - inside there is their gift shop- the Nurse graveyard, with a memorial dedicated to Rebecca and where possibly she was secretly buried by her family. Remains of George Jacobs Sr, another victim of the trials, were relocated here too.- the groundsPROsIf you are visiting the area because of the Salem Witch Trials, you MUST stop here. This is one of the very few still standing buildings with direct ties to the trials, possibly the most significant one.The volunteers at the Homestead are very knowledgeable and welcoming. It is remarkable and heartwarming how the memory of Rebecca Nurse has been kept alive through all these years.CONsThere are no real cons, just a couple of considerations. You should check opening hours carefully on their website as the museum is open only seasonally and on specific hours. If you are visiting Salem, you would need a mean of transportation to get here. And, if possible, you should try to visit on a day when it is not raining, being this an outdoor museum and I have the impression these grounds can get quite muddy when it rains.

Valentina O — Google review

What a fantastic place! Sobering and steeped in history, and as a part of history that is really misunderstood this place has an aura about it that make you think about the events and how sad it was. The graveyard was a peaceful place and very sobering, but you get a feeling of calm and peace.

Debra W — Google review

The Rebecca Nurse Homestead is located in Danvers, Massachusetts. In 1692, this would have been Salem Village and Rebecca was one of those accused of witchcraft during the witchcraft trials. She was found guilty and hung. The homestead has the 1678 house (in red) and is available for self-guided tours. Also on the property is the Nurse family cemetery, where there’s a monument to Rebecca

RoadTrip N — Google review

A great piece of Salem history. If you can do the guided tour of the nurse, Homestead, John is a fantastic tour guide and knows so much about the house and the area. It’s well worth the cost.

Jeana S — Google review

I was so excited to visit the Rebecca Nurse Homestead and learn even more about the history of the Salem Witch Trials but unfortunately it was closed when I tried to visit. It said online that it was open but it’s my fault for not calling and checking before making the drive out there. I was really hoping to tour the house but all I managed was to see the cemetery. There were people doing yard work all around so I didn’t get out of the car to explore but it is still a very beautiful area!

Rowena M — Google review

Very cool place! The staff was so knowledgeable and answered any questions you could have about the history. Would recommend it if you are a fan of history and Salem Witch Trials.

Lanah A — Google review

What is not to love about this site?! Rebecca Nurse’s home is the only accused witch’s home the public may visit. They take extra care into making sure the site is well taken care off. In addition, the employee/tour guides are super knowledgeable and approachable. A must visit for anyone interested in the Salem Witch Trials!

Water park

Water & Amusement Parks

Sprawling indoor water park featuring waterslides, an arcade & cabanas, plus an adjacent hotel.

Great place to take the kids on a boring winter weekend. We visited this place on Saturday. Despite the crowd, the line for the water slides lasted 10 minutes maximum. The food is delicious, but try to buy in advance. At some point, a very long line is formed. Come early to borrow the chairs. There is no swimwear shop here so don't forget your swimsuits. We did not notice any shortcomings. The children were happy.

Olga K — Google review

Great place to take your kids. Went for my Godsons birthday. It wasn't crowded when we went. They do have lockers for rent in and out side of the park area. The hot tub is a wonderful concept. Goes from one hot tube on the inside to 3 more connected hot tubs on the outside. No one under 15 is allowed in the hot tub. The only thing is that there were alot of hornets by the splash pad and outside hot tub gate. My Godson ended up getting stung. They do have a first aid office where they were very nice and professional. The place didn't have that overwhelming chlorine smell, but the water did burn my eyes. The lazy river is relaxing but needs more tubes. Many were deflated and a long line of people were waiting for a good tube. The splash pad was cute. I think the grown-ups had more fun on it though. They do have a bar to get a few drinks. You can not drink in the park area. You have to drink in the bar area. It was set up with many tables and chairs. The bartender was nice. The pool was the only place that was crowded. The food and drinks a overpriced but that is to be expected. The kids had a blast. Next time we will stay overnight at the hotel, so we don't have to drive an hour and a half back home after a long day at the park.

ESSENCE W — Google review

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to give this place try. My 4 and 5 year old boys had an absolute blast in the water park! The water slides were perfect for them! Unlike the reviews I found the facility to be very clean. The lifeguards were very attentive to all the kids and their safety. I will absolutely be back with my family! It was awesome!

Shannon L — Google review

Save your money and go to Water Country that is half the price. Calling this a waterpark is a streeeeeetch. It feels like a hotel added a room with water....rides.The hot tubs that are both inside and outside were the best part. But not $60 best. This place should be $19.99.There were enough tables and no one stole anything, but you can't bring in food and their food is EXPENSIVE. We just went to Texas Roadhouse across the highway instead after. The slides were fun for different ages and thrills, but NOT $60 fun! Pizza is $21!!! The lazy river is literally lazy and they don't have enough inflatables, so you have to wait in line until one is free. I'd have had a better time just floating on my back without one.My younger relatives loved it, but as an adult, I did not. This is not a water park, it feels like a YMCA's upgraded event space. This is NOT the best of New England. Please, save your time and money and go to Water Country for $35 if you buy it online!Oh and if you stay in the hotel, expect water bugs in the bathrooms and mold in your sink. We kept finding bugs of all kind coming from the corners and drains. Ewwwww....pass on staying on site after. The place is surrounded by trees, so it's to be expected there are bugs and all that water doesn't help. Also, they expect you to pay hundreds for a room at the double tree next door that it's attached to, $60 EACH to get in and EVERY room doesn't come with breakfast?!?If you stay in the hotel afterwards, they don't even have hooks in the bathroom and no line across the shower to dry your swimsuits. This is NOT a family friendly hotel.....attached to a water park that attracts families.I did this one time and won't be back. Staff in both places weren't rude or anything, this place just isn't worth the hype or the name.

Ashlix T — Google review

This water park is always fun and clean - we’ve been coming for year's! This is my first review though because I wanted to make sure my experience gets acknowledged, and also wanted to share with others who are considering a visit to the park how amazing the manager Jose is. I have no idea if there are multiple managers but on the day we visited Jose was in charge. We had a strange gift card scenario as Jose worked it out with ease - he actually went above and beyond. If you think like me, then you know an establishment is only as good as it's service. The you for everything Jose!!

Gregory M — Google review

Had a blast taking my kids here for the thanksgiving weekend. This place is really good for small kids under 10 yo. My kids are 1.5 yo and 4yo. They both have fun. Although the highest slide they couldn’t take , the 4 yo were able to take all the other activities. The ticket price is fare. $30 for night time from 4-9 which not many people. However the locker is a rip off. $10 for such a small locker and $15 for a bigger one which is just enough for winter time for 2 peoples belongings. They only open on weekends otherwise we will definitely sign up for membership.

Maria W — Google review

The waterpark is fun for the kids, the small children area is large enough to have babies and toddlers even big kids play safely together. The middle Parrot Perch area is fun going up and down, waiting your turn for the water slides and unexpectedly being dumped a huge bucket of water. There is an activity for all ages. Minus two stars because yesterday and today, both day we visited, the hot tub/jacuzzi was room temperature, the bar drinks are juice in an ice filled cup and a splash of alcohol not worth the amount of money charged and the food is less than ideal for the prices. I'm yet to find an attraction like this that have decent food though, it's like since you are obligated to buy from them they won't even try to give you good food for the expected expensive price they charge.

Algerys L — Google review

Place sucks now. Used to be good. Prices are absurd. Not worth it. Bad service. Dirty water. Expensive. Won't go back until prices come down. Bye

Bestie F — Google review

One good thing, my grandsons had a great time. For the amount of money I paid, I wish I would have gone back to Great Wolfe Lodge. Never ever in my life have I heard that the adults have to pay $80.00 per adult to be there with the children. One the website they just want the children’s names and that was that. But then once you get there and you put the bracelet on the kids they pop on you that you have to also pay for yourself as the guardian. I understand fully I could have gone in the water but I did not want to. And many grownups were there that were sitting there enjoying themselves but you can enjoy yourself as an adult at Great Wolfe Lodge and not have to pay a cent because you are an adult.

Stephanie C — Google review

I went last weekend with my kids and family I believe this is the old coco keys. Let’s start with the prices they are crazy high between the entrance ticket and food , candy and snacks. I also noticed the hot tub was not that clean and had like sand or I don’t know what in the bottom and my feet was touching that. My kids had a lot of fun so did I and my family but I won’t be coming back again due to the prices. I just would like to add that I did get an ear infection after going here and I never get ear infections so I don’t know if that means they don’t clean very good.

Edualyn L — Google review

Great place to bring your kids . If not cap codder, definitely bring them here. Drinks are lil expensive, pack some in advance, or there's other options within a 15-minute drive from here. They also have a mini arcade before entering the water park.

Parrish B — Google review

We went on Memorial Day afternoon and had a lot of fun. I was worried it would be crowded, but it wasn't bad.The place isn't as big as an outdoor water park, but it's about what I'd expect for an indoor one.We did the discounted evening-only pass, and that was about the right amount of time and money. We didn't buy food there, so I can't comment on that. There is only one water fountain in the place, and it wasn't working, but staff took pity on us and gave us water from the snackbar. Some other reviews complained about the floors, but they were pretty much what I expected. They're slippery if you run, but you're not supposed to be running. They're not sparkling clean, but they're not awful. So, it met all my expectations and my 7-year old had a blast. I expect we'll be back.

Beth B — Google review

this water park is a lot of fun. there was a little bit of something for every age. including the adults. from a lazy river to jacuzzi, to splash pad with a slide which made it extra cool. there was also a swimming area for kids to play basketball and swim around. it was cool. there were different levels of slides. honestly i thought they would be more terrifying then they were but my seven year old and i went on every single one. i think i was more nervous then him. LOL. the water was also about 2ft deep which was reassuring. you could smell the chemicals in the water which i’m sure is a good sign because we want to make sure we’re not spreading germs. the water even had a sting to it in your eyes. so if you’re someone with sensitive eyes, maybe wear goggles or even have the kiddos wear them also. i could see how it could irritate younger children. my reason for the 3 star is because the staff were all children and that wasn’t the most pleasant thing. a lot of them were really rude. some of the life guards were really kind and others not so much. the kids in the food court in my opinion shouldn’t be all working in there. their customer service skills lacked tremendously. we ordered mozzarella sticks and french fries. both were the lowest quality you could think of. i know you have to start somewhere but at least have a responsible adult overseeing them. also the lockers over charged me by $60.00 which wasn’t cool. hopefully they fix it and will refund me. mackenzie at the front desk was really sweet and helpful. i wish they had a first timer greeting to guide you and tell you more about the park and directions. i had to keep asking questions. which was slightly annoying. the bathrooms were also all very dirty. no stall was clean. idk if it’s because of school vacation or what but heads up. overall we enjoyed ourselves. i don’t think it’ll be our number one choice but maybe when we have nothing to do. for now we’ll continue browsing other options. i will say they do have potential to be a five star but in my opinion it’s a 2.5/3.

Stephanie J — Google review

Was an okay place before you upped the tickets to $80 per a person any age! Absolutely ridiculous! Now you have tickets down to $60 claiming that tickets are originally $100 and it's 40% off.. what a joke!Would visit again if the prices were lowered reasonably as the location is very convenient. You are better off taking a trip to fitchburg to great wolf lodge and getting a way better deal with much more to do.

Ashley G — Google review

My family and I visited the park last thursday while kids on school vacation and we had a great time there. Despite ariving late at the park to fully enjoy the day pass hours, manager was very understanding of the circustances and offered us to stay as free guests and allowed us to return to the park and be able to use the actually day pass bought and to to take fully advantage of everything the park offers. My family and I are very gratefull for this experience.

Denise L — Google review

Great place to bring the kids for a full day of fun. Bar for adults to drink 🍸the food is meh and over priced but it's to be expected lol there is a splash area for toddlers/babies. 4 large water slides for older kids and adults. About 4 slides for younger kids. The lazy river is pretty cool! The hot tub area is pretty big, which is great. Tables go fast, so arrive earlier to ensure you get one. They have towels rentals. The lockers are 10 bucks each time you use it, so I recommend bringing a bag with towels, snacks, and drinks to sit at your table while you play and clip your car key inside swimsuit if possible to avoid using one. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the staff is cranky, and you'd expect them to at least try to be excited for the kids. The bar and restaurant close an hour before the park closes. The changing room is very small and has dips on the floor, so puddles form everywhere. Highly recommend water shoes!

Carissa S — Google review

The employees at this place were amazing from the frontdesk, management, lifeguards down to the restaurant and Guy's at little store in the front. Having that many peoplewho are amazing with customer service is really rare. My son has autism they were accommodating to no end. Thank you all so much. Dom at the store you are great and the lifeguard Julius is such a sweetheart. Can't wait to have my son's party there they have an amazing staff.

J L — Google review

Worst experience ever. The place is over packed with people, we were told at check in there are no seats available (table abd chair) and then we find out that there is no proper life guards ratio, so there are no lines to be managed on the slides and kids will not respect the line and put other kids and people in safety concern. The floors are so slippery and not convenient at all for toddlers or older people.the food is horrible and an eatable and so expensive I bought 2 sides and kids meal for about $40 and had to throw away as it taste like bad food, I highly believe that the oil they fry is old!I don’t recommend at all, please save you money for another thing.

Emad M — Google review

***Lazy River not included in the shots. They the have full service bar over looking the Parrot Perch - older kids area. The breeze way - snack bar as a pretty good menu. *** no outside food allowed. Reentry is allowed. So we packed a cooler and had snacks, drinks and a meal in the car.

Ricardo F — Google review

Went to a birthday party it was a lot of fun. Well organized great pizza and as much time after the party to enjoy the park as you wanted. Only downside was the big slides were closed for maintenance otherwise it would be 5 🌟

Dan H — Google review

This is a smaller water park than I'm used to, but not overly priced ($45) was not packed when we got there. Lazy river, small play pool with basketball hoops, kiddie pool section, large water slides with and without tubes to use, bigger water playground with slides that adults can use with children, hot tub but signs do say must be 15 years or older to use. You can buy food or swimwear if need be, and they do have table and chairs available, but first come, first grab, or you may only have chairs available. The pool area during the winter months is only open from 11a.m. to 7 p.m., but you can get tired out in these 8 hours.

Justin S — Google review

I went with my kids and they had a ball and so did the adults. Food is pricey thou but overall great experience. My hotel room was in good shape, I would recommend putting water shoes on.

Denise — Google review

It was nice, fun, and spacious, but I got extremely bothered by the flooring of the lazy river. Everytime I boosted myself, I of course had to touch the floor witb my feet to be able to boost. But, the floor is like literally concrete and I scraped my skin and knees by it. I’m not sure if theres different ways to boost yourself to travel faster in the lazy river, but I’m also not sure how to explain how I boosted myself. I saw other people boosting themselves to go faster the same way I did, so I guess my way of boosting in the water is common. Overall, I would like the floor to be more soft. The water park itself is actually nice! Pretty similar to Great Wolf Lodge which was definitely more fun since there was many more things to do there. 😁

O’Neil Cinemas

Movie theater

Fun & Games

Roomy, modern multiplex with reserve & general seating plus 3-D & D-BOX motion-simulator technology.

AWESOME place! Had the whole theater to ourselves. Snack bar service is great here! Getting tickets is effortless as staff is very competent and friendly. Safe and fun atmosphere makes you want to come back for more. Location and parking is super convenient. Screen selection and sound selection is great. If you want a basic experience this is for you. If you want the works with ultimate sound and a HUGE screen with a great picture you can upgrade and this place is for you as well.

Steve R — Google review

The place was clean, nobody there except the lady behind the counter. We got our tickets and treats and went to our theater. We were the only ones in there. Seats are old school and upright. I was hoping for more updated, comfortable seats.

Corey H — Google review

Ample parking, easy to get to since it's at crossroads of Rt 125 & Rt 101 in Epping, comfortable seats. Depending on time of day or night, quite a number of places eat with a variety of choices from sushi, steak house, seafood, burgers, subs, family type restaurants or just grab a coffee with a friend. If not, there's a Market Basket in the same plaza so go shopping for what you want, for home and make your special family dinner.

Steven T — Google review

Today was my first time taking my wife and 2 boys here. I was reading all these negative reviews about the popcorn prior to going. Let me just say, mine was fresh and warm. Very tasty! Maybe some people don't know the difference between yellow and white kernels? We got the d-box seats. Our 2 boys loved them. Definitely worth getting if you have kids.

Nicholas P — Google review

The seats were very comfortable. The sound was good. It is just the popcorn that did not make the cut. There was only salt on the top and no salt. I think there should have been more butter mixed in. The temperature was very nice; it was perfect. I really enjoyed the experience.

Cathy S — Google review

O'Neil Cinemas is decent but not the best movie theater. There is not a lot of theaters, and the theaters are on the smaller size (a lot less seats). It is a little bit cheaper than other bigger theaters, though. And on Tuesdays they have $5 matinee and $7 for later movies, as well as deals at the concessions. Try to avoid seats closest to the screen, if possible. Because you will end up having to look up at it the whole time and they are really close to the screen due to the lack of space. Also, when buying tickets online, make sure you pay attention to where the seats are compared to the screen. It tends to be a little confusing for some people. Remember that row A is right in front of the screen, and the letters go up as the rows get further away from the screen. All in all, I would recommend seeing a movie here.

Jenica M — Google review

Overall your typical cinema. Seats and concession prices are pretty unremarkable. But the fantastic deal on tickets all day on Tuesdays makes this place really stand out as a great spot.

Wesley N — Google review

We're new to the area so we were very happy to find O'Neil theater. We love that it's so easy to buy tickets online and the concessions are reasonably priced. Overall cleanness was good too. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there were three young girls sitting on the back row just behind us who didisturbed, talked, farted, giggled, threw popcorn, etc, the entire time and after I told staff about the issue, they talked to them but didn't monitor them so they just continued to make it hard on everyone to enjoy the show. I felt like staff should have asked them to leave when they wouldn't conform to theater decorum.

Nanka R — Google review

Theater had a noticeable mustiness and a strong smell of mold. Concessions are very expensive in all theaters, but here the sizes were small for what you paid, and then they solicited a tip on the receipt for handing over an empty cup and a bag of popcorn. The bathroom was foul, with the toilet in one stall covered in urine and what I'm absolutely certain was dried fecal matter on the wall of the other. Picture quality was poor and the seats creaked loudly if you moved at all.

T A — Google review

The seats at O' Neil Cinemas were very comfortable. I enjoyed the movie very much and the sound was awesome, very intense at times. The staff at the concession stand were very friendly and professional. I will definitely go back another time!

Marc B — Google review

Affordable. Theatre was comfortable and the picture and sound were good. Plenty of well lit parking. You can pick your seats when you buy your tickets online.Lobby and bathroom looked a bit messy, could use some cleaning and tidying up. Didn’t want to touch anything. Some of the kids working there seemed a little checked out.

Kyle R — Google review

Place was actually pretty darn good. The screen was very good quality. The sound inside the rooms, is spectacular!!! This place is actually worth the 5 star and I'll suggest people going to an O'Neil Cinema!! People work there, are very nice and seems very wonderfully trained in the social environment as well as customer service. Not one bad thing to say about it at all what so ever

Matt B — Google review

Been going to this O’Neil Cinemas every time I come to Epping New Hampshire. Staff is very friendly and the theater is always clean. I’m a huge “Nightmare Before Christmas” fan and I’m so happy for the 30th anniversary of the film, they have showings for the whole season. Seeing it on the big screen was a totally different experience then watching it from home. Very thankful they had this for us to enjoy.

Decent theater with ok seats. I didn't try the Dbox seats, which might be better. They have $6 movie tickets on Tuesdays, which is amazing.

Ian M — Google review

Just visited this place for the first time with my husband. Reseved tickets ahead of time at $11 mantinee price but self check in was unavailable. Drinks and snacks was average $27 (2 medium drinks, 2 buttered popcorn). Bathroom, halls and theatres were very clean. Staff members were friendly and helpful. The only thing that bugged me were the seats were small chairs and no leg room felt very uncomfortable and not suitable for everyone's body shape. The arms do not move and felt really tight and clausterphobic with no arm room if you sit next to another customer. I am very thankful that the employees were very helpful to switch my seats to enjoy the movie without pain from my medical condition. Overall, a good visit and I really hope the theatre considers a few changes to improve future customers enjoyment. :)

Ticket prices are ok. Concessions are ridiculously expensive, as they are at any theater, but $7.25 for a paper cup to put soda in is insane. No body works for minimum wage, but that's still the minimum wage in this state! Bro can we drop that down to like $5 for a paper cup to put soda in??? The seats are ok. The theater is usually not that full, so you get your pick. Sound and picture quality is great, and the bathrooms are nearby if you need them.

Phillip E — Google review

I visited the movie theater around 5 yesterday, and unfortunately, the cashier's behavior was disappointing. There were instances where she whispered rude comments under her breath when I was ordering food and tickets. The girl also had a rude tone the entire time when speaking to us. It's important for customer service to be kind and show manners but I felt like she was being super impolite. I love this place and I would recommend going but this experience just kept it from being 5 star.

Tt F — Google review

🍿 O'Neil Cinemas is a gem. Their adjustable, comfortable seats are top-notch, and they offer great prices on special days. But let's talk about the real star: the popcorn! It's so good..

GammaStrong — Google review

The staff were rather nice & the theater was actually really cozy instead of an arcade filled lobby like I'm used to. The theaters aren't too big either, which gives it a more intimate feel. Sadly, that means they don't have a lot of leg room, which was my only issue.

K0nstance — Google review

The place was alright. Very expensive. Seats were comfortable, the screen is huge, sound is great. Staff seemed nice and helpful. It was a fun time.

Bravo2_5 A — Google review

The seats are pretty bad. If you’re small or a kid, you’ll fall into the back of the seat because the chairs are similar to stadium seats. They fold down, therefore they fold up on you if you have a small stature and can’t take up the whole seat.

Mad W — Google review

Great place, just feels cramped inside the theater, and the chairs are really uncomfortable. Plus, tickets and concessions are well overpriced as always. I think I paid $7 for a box of junior mints. You’d think with the fad of movie theaters dying out, they’d adjust their astronomical pricing.

Caleb M — Google review

The seats could use a little WD-40. My biggest issue with this theater was that we could hear the louder scenes in the next theater quite well. At times, it really took us out of the moment in our movie. Otherwise this theater was fine.

Bryan S — Google review

I like this movie theater complex. Staff friendly. I have never ordered concession food there so I have no opinion. Plenty of parking, depending on day. 3D movies available. D-box is overrated. Bathroom was in good shape. I have difficulty sitting in the chair for an extended period of time.Update: Saturday afternoon, March 2022; My family members and I wanted to sit together but pay for our tickets separately. The three amigos, err, associates who waited on us immediately helped us with suggestions with the best spot to sit and see the movie 🎥. Very friendly service! Bathroom was in good shape. Matinee is more affordable.Update: Saturday afternoon, December 2022; I tried the nachos with cheese. It is pricey. The food was heated and they tasted okay. The person who I went with likes the popcorn 🍿 and requested extra butter 🧈.

Sights & Landmarks

America's Stonehenge is a 4,000-year-old site in New Hampshire that features an astronomical calendar, manmade chambers, and even alpacas. Visitors can take a 90-minute tour with a private guide device to explore the 32 attractions along an uneven and steep path. The site also offers a dig site where visitors can unearth gems and pottery. While the experience is intriguing for adults, it may be less engaging for toddlers due to the terrain.

What an experience. This place is riddled with mystery and it echoes of the ways it was once occupied. I could spend months here just observing and trying to figure out why things were built and set up the way they were. I personally think there's a hidden chamber near the under ground hall way because the hall just ends but the mound it's under us big enough for another room and there's several holes into the hill that are like air vents or viewing ports. So cool that it's right here in NH!

Rob L — Google review

For starters, this place is amazing! There is a lot of history to see! As for the attraction itself, it is impressive to see how the people lived in that era. The trails to the sites were okay, but I suggest one wear a good pair of hiking boots or a good pair of tennis shoes with some good traction because I slipped on mud and fell. That said, I highly recommend visiting when the weather isn’t so frigid! The cost to tour the site was $14.00 per adult. The price is less expensive for children, and a military discount is available. There is also a lovely gift shop with various items to purchase and a small museum connected to the gift shop. A tour map and audio information are available to download on a cell phone. The parking is free, but it is a dirt parking lot, so if it rains, there will be large puddles. Overall the site is worth seeing! You will be amazed.

Sabino C — Google review

We went here to view the solar eclipse. We arrived early so parking was plentiful. We checked out the store and walked around the property. So interesting! They have an app that you can download and do a self-guided tour of the stone structures. Since it was a special day, there was a drum circle that was a lot of fun. We brought our own food and used the picnic table to eat. I highly recommend seeing this place.

Jean G — Google review

Very well done site, without being overdone. Research and site history is well presented. Walking tour with accompanying voice tour on the app is excellent. Would be nice to see more 4k yr. ago artifacts, though stone remnants and speculation as to historical context are fascinating!

Dan H — Google review

A sacred place. Such a beautiful, humbling experience. Would highly recommend to anyone, anywhere, of any age- to adventure here. It's open year round, we went on a 97° day but the shade from the trees didn't make it feel as hot as it was. It's open year-round, so we will be going back in the fall when foliage is at peak! We would also love to see & feel it in the winter & spring as well. All times of year offer a different but breathtaking experience. They have alpacas that are adorable near a visitors center which has a small historical museum within it, an area to sit down and watch an informational video about it all, clean working bathrooms and a shop where everyone in the family can find a precious souvenir. My whole family LOVED the experience. 😌 We can't wait to return.

Beth — Google review

1st time ever visiting here and I've lived in NH for 37 years. I was a shaperone for my sons 7th grade trip. The staff was very polite and real helpful. There's a path u take with 32 attractions that u get to see and learn all about the history of Stonehenge. You get a little device that u play that acts as a private tour guide. The tour is about 90 mins long. After that they have a dig site that u can enjoy to dig up gems and pottery. Over all we were there for 3.5 hours with our lunch. Which they also had picnic tables to eat and a nice gift shop. If u like history and want to learn about Stonehenge its very cool.

Rob S — Google review

Went to watch the eclipse. We enjoyed learning about the history of this site and seeing all the remnants of the past. They had a drum circle for the eclipse which was fun. Definitely get there early if they're having special events. Everyone was so nice and knowledgeable about the sites.

Alexa D — Google review

Before heading out from the shop there's a nice video explaining the ruins. The pathways outside were a bit weird and winding. The ruins themselves are in good shape and intriguing.

Amelia — Google review

The alpacas were busy eating, but the rest of the park was beautful. Views in every direction, the app guided tour was great and the map provided was very helpful for a general overview of the landmarks. The museum area and video were helpful for getting history of the site and areas nearby.

Michaela S — Google review

We had a great time exploring around the rocks and learning about the history. There wasn't a whole lot to do for the price but the app they have makes it easy to learn and explore on your own.

Joshlynn S — Google review

This was an interesting and amusing adventure. Keeping an open mind is key to this experience. If you are unfamiliar with the site, it may be worth reading the Wikipedia article on it before going. There is more than a touch of what I would call “Oak Island-like mystique.” Don’t take everything you see and read for granted :)There was a nice welcome center with gift shop. The henge itself is up a hill and well signed for visitors. For the price point, there is not a lot to do. Good for a day-trip.

America's Stonehenge is an enigmatic and captivating archaeological site. Nestled in the scenic landscape of New Hampshire, it's a portal to an ancient past. The intricate stone structures, dating back over 4,000 years, spark curiosity and wonder. The site's natural beauty enhances the experience, making it a peaceful and reflective destination. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a place of intrigue, America's Stonehenge offers a unique and unforgettable journey into the mysteries of the past.

Vic D — Google review

Not bad. Good way to spend a couple of hours. I went during the off season so few if any people were around. Photos can look redundant because everything looks so similar but maybe that was because it was winter. Had fun walking on the trails in the area. Pretty in an austere way and serene.

Daniel D — Google review

A must visit! It is easy to see why they called this place Mystery Hill back in the day. Enjoyed a great chat with Mr. Stone who gave me a long list of places to visit all over New England!

Mark B — Google review

Great history! Paths were easy to walk and navigate. Gift shop has lots of souvenirs. Recommend.

Krissy S — Google review

Privately operated historical site. Quite a neat visit however great as a part of a larger trip wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. The Alpacas are cool too

Jacob B — Google review

What a cool and interesting hike and exploration point! Where science, history and nature combine. An easy walking trail, beautiful views, a butterfly garden and the alpacas are just adorable. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We spent about 1.5 hours to walk around the whole trail and see the informational video. Cool map to follow, well worth the money spent for my older kids and I.

Kathleen Y — Google review

What I refer to as a happy accident. We were traveling the back roads in MA and saw a sign saying America's Stonehenge, which we had never heard of, so we went to see what it was. Upon arrival was a site of many stones placed in astrological settings and done over 4000 years ago, Showing it had a connection to the well know Stonehenge in Great Britain, Nice hike and many photo ops.

V F — Google review

Worth a visit. The audio guide it great to help guide you around, the path is very uneven and steep so good footwear needed and less suitable for toddlers unless being worn. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Lots of parking and restrooms available,Would be great to have a few more things for kids on the way round like questions or quizzes or having to count the number of something to make it more engaging for them.Alpacas there too but you can’t do anything with them, being able to buy food or even walk them for a fee would be an amazing addition.

Fantastic. America’s Stonehenge. 4,000 years old. We visited on a weekday

Jack G — Google review

Beautifully maintained trails and so much history. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it.The gift store had so much inventory! Wonderful things!

Kimberly W — Google review

I didn't know what to expect. I just know it's a place we kept seeing signs for and it was something to do. Definitely not a disappointment. I held off on the 5 stars as there were some closed trails. I was amazed at the accuracy of the sun position statues and monoliths. The app makes it a lot more understandable. We are picture people, and got some beautiful shots.

History and astronomy lessons rolled into one! Very cool place that was created over 4000 years ago. Older facilities but functional. Large gift shop with many options. Alpaca on-site too! Go on a nice day during one of their special events and watch the magic happen!

Tessie's Pizza. Very good pizza. I especially like the Village Pizza, breaded eggplant and sausage. Get it every time I go.My wife had the Village Pizza on gluten-free pie. She says it's the best she's had anywhere around Derry.

This complex used to have a great convenience store, a pharmacy, a bank, video store and a much better ice cream place that made ice cream cakes in addition to scoops. The pizza place has always been lame Greek style pizza with bad veggie subs. Now this building is filled with mostly quiet offices with little activity. I hear the owner charges high rent prices which is probably why there is such a lack of decent business here. It's a real shame. Lots of potential.

Canobie Lake Park is a sprawling amusement park that offers a wide range of attractions suitable for the entire family. From thrilling roller coasters to exciting water rides and entertaining shows, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can also indulge in delicious food and partake in fun games throughout the park. While some guests experienced long lines, others found value in purchasing express passes to make the most of their visit.

Well put together park. The rides are fun. From the point of view of an extreme coaster enthusiast, these guys have done a great job considering the height restrictions imposed onto the park for rides. Yankee Cannonball is comfortable and fun. UNTAMED is short, but action packed. The park has an excellent, above and beyond; selection of rides for the little ones. My daughter was 4 and had an absolute blast.

Saabgt3 — Google review

I haven't been to Canobie Lake Park in probably 20 years, so I had no expectations when I arrived. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening. To my surprise, parking was easy, and getting into the park was a breeze. Security seemed really lax, which some people might like, but it's not particularly comforting. The rides we went on were all clean and well maintained, but the queue lines were tight together and didn't seem well considered.Almost every staff member we interacted with was friendly and kind, and the Taylor Swift tribute show was well done.We had a good day, but this park does not feel like it comfortably handles the capacity of guests that come through the gates during the day. We ran into lots of bottle necked walkways and queues that spilled out into paths. For the cost of the tickets, I think it's worth a visit, but I don't know that I would make it a regular stop.

A very nice family amusement park that has rides for everyone in the family. To small kiddie rides for the children, to family friendly rides and all the way up to thrill rides, this place has a nice mix. It also has a small water park included with admission in the summer (although gets very packed on hot days) and water rides, plus some shows/other entertainments. Their Halloween event is always a blast with haunted houses too.

Tanner B — Google review

The owner of my workplace was generous to treat us to a picnic and day at Canobie! We had a great time.I have been coming here since I was young. It’s very clean, and not too big. They have a water park, but that was way too crowded for us, sadly. That’s ok though, because we were able to cool off on the flume ride and the Boston Tea Party. They have plenty of benches to sit down and of course the people watching is always entertaining. I’m not good with rides, but my husband had a good time! My son is autistic, and we weren’t sure how well he would do. He tried the skateboard ride, but it was a little too intense for him. There are a lot of options for calmer activities. The food choices were pretty much standard to any amusement park. I was very happy to find a place for alcohol. There aren’t a ton of options, but they have beer located outside the Boston Tea Party ride in a cool looking old style pub, and inside the water park. They also offer AC inside some of the arcades, which was definitely needed as it was very hot that day. I had a great day, and slept like a rock that night!

The G — Google review

My first visit to Canobie was during Screeemfest! Parking is easy & free - if you arrive slightly early you'll be parked pretty close to the entrance. During the first hour of opening, the lines for rides weren't too bad. Towards the end of the night, you had to wait in lines that were at least 30 minutes long. Some lines for rides like The Yankee Cannonball were 45 minutes plus. Even though we didn't get to do as many rides as we were hoping, we had an awesome time & there was so much to see. At dusk, the views over the lake are incredible. We were blessed with an incredible sunset. Lots of spooky decor around the park - we really enjoyed walking around taking it all in. The lines for the haunted houses were crazy so we chose to skip it. I was surprised by the food & drink prices. They are reasonable compared to most parks. A cocktail with a souvenir beaker was under $20 ($15 if I remember correctly), turkey leg was $13, & huge loaded baked potatoes were $9. We were all very satisfied with the food - it was filling & delicious. We had a great time at Canobie & can't wait to return!

Ariana G — Google review

this place is run better than Disney. The water park is legit and the lifeguards have their head on a swivel. took a family of five with grandparents and aunt on a Thursday. rented a cabana. The place is fantastic, can't say enough good things. a solid safe bet. The food was good. it's huge and there are tons and tons of different rides for all different ages. if you think "it won't be that busy" then think again, cuz it will be busy, and you'll wait in line for some of the rides, but the main attractions move quick. has someone with a strong mechanical and engineering background, I always like to observe the rides, they're operating condition and signs of maintenance. everything I could see looked to be kept in the best possible running order. The place was comfortably overstaffed. plenty of supervisory types visible in all areas. full-on security at the gate, metal detectors and bag searches add a sense of safety. once again, can't say enough good things. they've invested tens and tens of millions of dollars and it's a hidden gem. if you've got kids of almost any age then this is the place for fun. definitely our new go-to family place. congratulations Canobie on running a truly first class facility where it is obvious that management has tremendous attention to detail.

Bud P — Google review

This place is great for kids. The lines are usually very long for the adult rides so if you go you should make a day of it to get the most in (if that's your thing). The other attractions are fun and plenty.

Awesome place to visit. The water park portion is really fun. There is a crazy water activity place with waterslides and water guns, etc. So much fun!The amusement park rides are great. Awesome view from the Ferris wheel. Roller coasters are a lot of fun. Other rides as well. There are lot of good options. We ended up getting Mexican food.Plan a day of it. There is a lot to see and do. We were there all day and that really wasn't enough time. Next time, we'll try the rest!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Canobie Lake Park Theme Park with my family, and it was an experience we'll cherish for a long time. The park catered to all ages, from toddlers to teens, and even adults, ensuring that everyone had a fantastic time. The variety of rides was impressive, with something for everyone. The little ones were thrilled with the toddler-friendly attractions, while the older kids and adults enjoyed the more adrenaline-pumping rides. One of the highlights of our visit was the flexibility to bring our own food and water, especially for the kids. This is a thoughtful provision that not many places offer. However, if you happen to forget, there's no need to worry. The park offers a wide array of dining options, ranging from vegetarian to non-vegetarian dishes. And for those who fancy a drink, they even serve beer to lift your spirits!I highly recommend planning your visit on Fridays or Saturdays. The park hosts a spectacular fireworks display and dance party after closing hours, adding an extra layer of fun to your visit. You can check the schedule on their website to plan your day accordingly. In conclusion, our visit to Canobie Lake Park Theme Park was one of our best family outings. It's a place that truly offers something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for family fun. We can't wait to go back!

This is a very up set and disappointing experience with the "Hang Time" game.First time my 4years old son tried, he only can hold 10s. He was very up set because he didn't win the small prize( little jelly fish stuff animal), he cried so bad. Therefore, my husband get into the line and tried to win the prize for him. My husband hold for 1mins and won the middle prizes. We asked can we use the middle prize to exchange 2 small prizes because we have 2 kids. And they want the same small prize. The staff he agreed 1 middle prize exchange 2small prizes. However just at that moment, the staff who wear blue shirt( I guess is a supervisor )jump out and said NO!One middle prize can only change to one small prize. Now the kids are disappointed again and up set for the whole day during we are in the park.I could understand the park might have their own policy , but as a customer I don't feel like satisfaction on this ( blue shirt) staff the way to handle this issue.I would like to bring you attention that customer service is the most valuable part to bring back the customer.

Great experiences every time. Historic NE rides satisfying every one from young child to adult. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. They have extra protocol and system for the handicapped. Very local and friendly feel for New Englanders. I mean if you have lived in New England for more than 5 years and haven’t done the Yankee Cannon Ball, that’s shocking and needs to be rectified. Haunted Mine or Mine of Lost Souls classic as well.

It is our annual tradition to visit this place every summer. We always ask one of our friends to join us . This year too we reached early and our first ride of the day was cannon ball. One of the oldest ride and still a favourite for everyone. Followed by the Taylor Swift show in the arena was a bonus. Bumper call, gravity and many other attractions. Boat rides and sky rides are a few other favorites.many food options and lovely staff.

Padma S — Google review

We spent the day here, we enjoyed both Castaway Island and the amusement park. One thing both my wife and I noticed, the lifeguards were extremely attentive, very active and moving around, constantly scanning the pool. They had a lot of staff, and all we encountered were friendly and helpful. The value for the price of admission was incredible. The park and the bathrooms were very clean and well kept. Sometimes these places can look faded and worn but we were both impressed with the overall look. There is a good mix of rides for ages 4-16. We would recommend stopping here for a great day!

Clean, safe, and magical! So nostalgic being able to take my 4, 3 and 1 year olds here with my Dad! Canobie has managed to evolve while maintaing the charm. SO Many rides for young kids and the park is small enough where you can easily walk and navigate. I was also very impressed by the several employees we interacted with and especially the professionalism and safety promoted in the water park on a busy day with thousands of people. We cant wait to go back! June and her squad as Taylor Swift were an amazing addition that we would have paid extra to enjoy !!!

Anique P — Google review

Great for groups with smaller children, there are still decent amount of rides for them to do. Food availability is great, beer and wine available in some sections. Park is clean, the only bad thing is your in tight quarters as you wait in the que for rides. It says no outside food or drink, but then inside there were definitely a lot of people who had brought food.

Meghan Z — Google review

One of my favorite dates to date. Downside were the long lines. We did ScreamFest and purchased the express passes. $25 to knock out 5 haunted houses in an hr. Worth it considering the lines were so long others were likely waiting the hour to 30 min each. We went on 3 rides had dinner walked around watched the freak show for a bit and then went through the haunted houses. Definitely cannot wait to take the kids. One of the coolest things though, these parks have a fast lane for disabled individuals. Make sure you check with customer service!! If you have someone who physically or mentally cannot wait in lines but enjoy the rides they can get in pretty quickly. Just make sure the attendant sees you. ❤️❤️

Fun local family spot. Different generation now not like it used to be. Prefer not to spend the day listening to rap/pop music. At least have some variety. Disrespectful kids can be annoying doing whatever they want/swearing/littering. Not what I want my kids to be around! Overall it's a clean park and a fun day out. Pricing is what you expect, but a day out it's fairly decent.

Dave J — Google review

This was my first time visiting g this park. I really loved the relaxed atmosphere of this park. It’s very clean and organized. Staff is very friendly and courteous. I have been to many them parks and this one by far is becoming my favorite. The longest line is like 20 minutes and most of the rides are pretty much walk up to!I loved the water park area. The lazy river is nice and the castaway island is so much fun. So many lifeguards, which made me feel safe. And I am planning to come many times. Food is reasonably priced and access to bathrooms is easy. I came here with my 4 year old and I’ll come back many times.

What a fun experience for families!! There's something for everyone! From crazy roller coasters to cute little toddler rides! You can spend the whole day here and feel energized! Lots of restaurants and food options... essentially your basic amusement park food.. cute souvenir cups for ice's and drinks.. the kids had a blast! It's a short drive from Boston so it's convenient for people visiting the area.

I had such a blast here at Canobie Lake Park tonight for Screamfest. I always have a great time whenever I visit. So many fun rides, games, food and so much more to do. I can’t wait to go back again.

Sophia C — Google review

A great place for a family fun day. The staff does a great job and is very professional. They do an amazing job taking care of kids with sensory needs. Pro tip: The back half of the park is not as crowded as the front half.Ps, the castaway island is worth the price of admission.

Joel S — Google review

I went there with 4 of my grandchildren and my daughter. Although it was rather pricey ($15.00) each for flip flops for pool area, we had a fantastic day!! I don't regret one minute of it. I just wish everyone could do this with their families and I know that's impossible when food, drinks etc all have to be purchased in park. How about 1 day a week when families can pack their own lunches, snacks and drinks? Not too much to ask for. It is for the kids!

Barbara B — Google review

I have gone to canobie lake park since I was a kid, so over 15 years at this point. I have never done before Screamfest and my friend didn’t warn me you can only buy tickets online. So I arrived and noticed the ticket booths were closed and asked is there anyway to buy tickets in person and they said it’s online only. I do put 50% of the responsibility on my friend for not telling me this. But then 50% responsibility is on Canobie for two reasons. The first reason being this is a location with plenty of booth stations and you could easily have one open to address those who don’t buy online. The BIGGER reason though is this. THEY HAVE NO CELL SERVICE OR PUBLIC WIFI THERE. It is pretty crummy trying to break through the cell service to contact friends and to see if anyone has strong enough cell service to buy a ticket for me. If you are going to have mandatory online passes and you are very aware of your lack of cell service. You should invest in a couple of quality WiFi routers at the front gate so people can hop on it and purchase tickets OR if you don’t want to open a booth, invest in a digital station where you can go to a machine and purchase one.Now for the second part of this experience I’ll be getting more into the screamfest experience. This experience comes with the caveat that I know staffing can be short some night and all that understandable stuff. I get that. However, nothing really felt that spooky. The walkers around the park had lack luster energy as well as in the haunts. The only one I felt had more energized haunters were the works in the location near Untamed. The other two felt pathetic. And not due to lack of ambience or visuals. The ambience and visuals were great. But the haunt near the tea party ride and near the mine ride were a bummer when it came to being actually scared. Because you can have the coolest visuals you want but when there are a lack of people or the people minimally engage it just ruins the experience. For instance when we went through the haunt by the tea party, I think we managed to walk through 6+ rooms before running into another worker. Then, the workers just hide in corners and barely move. Or just stare at you by a wall. Where is the getting up in your face? Where is the following a person for short periods of time? Making repetitive noises through yelling or banging objects? Again, some workers did do that, but for the 2 I was disappointed in, they really didn’t do a lot.For the last part of the experience I will talk about the express pass. So, first of all you pay $50 to get in. Then, because we dealt with 40mins of trying to get me into to the place we were running short on time and they close at 11p, AND they obviously have long lines. Now we are thinking we will do the express pass. They have signs for it around the park but the signs don’t actually lead you to the direction of getting them because we tried 2 spots in the park and the people said no. Then we went to the front to guest services and they said go to the gift shop next store. We thought we would pay $25 cause it said that online. No, if you buy it at the shop it’s $30 and online it’s $25 if you match it with your ticket and add it on. Well, obviously with no cell service we couldn’t do that so we had to pay the $30. It was worth it in the sense that you get to the front quick. But again with my review of the actual haunts themselves, it doesn’t feel worth it to spend $80 for the lack luster experience. All of this to say, I love Canobie lake park as an amusement park and for anyone trying to go there for rides whether it’s spooky season or not, it is a great time. Clean park, clean bathrooms. A lot of food options. I hope they put up more roller coasters cause one can only handle so many spinny ride options, which there are a lot there. And they took down the cork screw which was a roller coaster. But yah as an amusement park, I still love it as an adult. As a spooky place, definitely bummed.

What a blast ! Had a great time ! Plenty for young kids to do! Dedicated splash pad area, really cool water park for kids and probably the best lazy river I have ever been to. My kids (age 1 & 4) had plenty of options of things to do. The water park was my favorite, on hot days nice to be in the water around noon to 1

Corey D — Google review

We went finally with son + 4 other 8th graders + 7y old. Place was clean, well staffed, not crowded. Weather was great despite the rain. Food service near the Arcade ""counter" was super slooow, most young people seemed to be annoyed and bored and not happy working there. Other staff seemed ok but group serving food was pathetic. they were out of ketchup and had no mayo. Otherwise place is great.

Bebeharris — Google review

The park is great for younger and older kids. It offers many options you have your hands full. The Lazy River and Castaway Island had the kids having fun for hours. The ticket price was reasonable. It simply needs a little updating. The crowd size was great for a Monday.

IMagine D — Google review

This park is impeccably clean! I mean, spotless. Not even a stray bottle cap on the ground. The bathrooms are spotless. The cleanest amusement park I have ever been too. The lines to rides are long, but move fast. The staff, primarily teenagers/college students, are the sweetest most helpful people! With their energy, you can tell they love their job! I can't wait to go back in October!

Canobie Lake Park in Salem, New Hampshire holds a special place in my heart. Having visited as a child, I'm delighted to see that it has maintained its charm and beauty throughout the years. The park's impeccable upkeep is evident in the well-kept flowers that grace its walkways, creating a delightful atmosphere. Now, as an adult living out of state, I cherish the opportunity to bring my children, aged 8 and 10, to Canobie Lake Park, allowing them to create their own cherished memories. The park's waterpark is a huge hit during the summer months, providing a perfect escape from the heat. However, with the availability of season passes, I've noticed that the park can become quite crowded at times. The long lines near the entrance during exit times, especially for simple treats like apples, popcorn, and cotton candy, can be a bit frustrating. I personally experienced a wait of over 30 minutes. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall experience and the joy it brings to my family are well worth it. Canobie Lake Park remains a treasured destination for both nostalgia and creating new memories with loved ones.

M. D — Google review

Many rides for youth, youth and adults. Adults of different ages and everything. It was awesome. My lil man is 4 and he had so many ride options it was great.

Laurajean C — Google review

Great time at the park. Rain did not slow the park down. Ride operators were very nice and helpful. We ate dinner at the restaurant with The soft-serve cone and fries on top of roof. They were out of some items and 3 people in back of us who ordered same thing were served before us. Took over 15 min to get food. When we approached counter there was no one in front of us. Wish the staff had more help or serving experience. Overall it was a fun day and we will be back but not too sure I will eat at the same place. Also cost to get in is rather high, use to pay way less to enter the park may be charge separate ticket for water park and lower cost of main park. Six flags currently offers a cheaper option but is an extra 30 min drive for us.

1800s textile mills & the waterways that powered them, with canalside walks & interpretive displays.

First time visiting this great park last year. Unique park since structures are spread out throughout the city. Came back last month and thought the renovations looked good. Kids will love the summer concerts even more now.

Exploring and navigating the gutted cotton mills is quite an adventure. Don't feel shy to ask the locals if you find one.

My friend has a little restaurant in the street next to the park if you get a chance to try Jimmy's halal chicken the foods great and Jimmy's a big hearted hard worker worth the trip. I've seen him feed homeless people out of his pocket and his chicken is different than anything I've tried you'll walk out smiling and full.

We visited a large building that had five floors and was full of little studios with all kinds of arts and crafts. Everything from glass and metal working, kitch, stone sculpture and found object bashing. Costuming, wood working, clothiers and painters. We ran out of time to see it all but we then got to hang out at the basement brewery which was great!

Great historical site to visit. Friendly and informative staff.

Really enjoyed visiting Lowell. Learned a lot from a presentation by Park Ranger Thomas about Mill Girls & the Boarding House Keepers.

Abigail M — Google review

The park consists of several buildings that were restored. You learn everything there is to know about both past Lowell and the different periods the town went through. The canal tour was really nice and I'd recommend taking it. The guides were all very helpful and are ready to tell you all about the town.

Zommy N — Google review

The Canal Tour is one you should take when visiting this small historic town

Harpal D — Google review

Went on the boat tour today. Nadia our wonderful tour guide made it fun, and most informative! Being out on the Pawtucket Canal, seeing the stone walls and mill buildings that line its banks, learning how the water powered the mills and the history and current state of the canals was most interesting. And all of this in an urban setting! Highly recommended!

Daniel K — Google review

Parking at the visitors center seemed challenging when I arrived, I drove around and finally found some metered street parking. Apparently, they validate parking in a ramp behind the visitors center. There was also a large surface lot barricaded off for some reason. They offer a free walking tour of Suffolk Mill, a $12 canal tour, a free boarding house museum and $6 self guided tour of Books Mill. Trolleys run to the major sights. I struggled to get an overview of what "Lowell" was and the major sights. It would be nice if they developed a "What to see" in 2-3 hours, a half day and full day, recommendations like many of the National Parks have.

Trypp A — Google review

Great place to visit, they have a railroad museum, mills and old equipment to tour, quilt museum and various food and drink places to indulge in throughout the historical park and little art shops to visit...check it out.

Roy J — Google review

We had never been to Lowell and I didn’t even know it had a national park. The visitor center is amazing with very friendly rangers. They have a well done introductory movie and basic exhibits in the visitor center, but to really see the history of Lowell, you need to go to the other sites where they have live weaving exhibits and much more information about where people came from and how they lived . A must do is the canal boat ride where you see the unique history of the canals that provided transportation and power to the Mills.

Brian B — Google review

Visitor center is well done and on site personnel were great. Catch the excellent short movie about the history of Lowell. I didn't have time but the trolley and canal boat ride look great.

David D — Google review

The visitor center is kind of meh. The canal walk was nice. The basic idea for the park seems to be English superiority and how they used child labor and immigrants to build America.

Ryan C — Google review

A fantastic spot right in downtown Lowell. Every summer it hosts music of all kinds ay Boarding House Park. On the last weekend of July it hosts the Lowell Folk Festival...3 days of international folk music...for FREE!

Hilary K — Google review

Definitely worth a visit. Fascinating to see how it all worked. Free tours on certain days, Thur at 2:30 being one of them. Check with the visitor center.

Very good food and oysters. The restaurant is upscale with a beautiful interior and a good menu. I tried the French Onion soup and it was delicious. My friend tried a house raspberry brew, that was sadly al gone exceot for half a cup. But it was delicious. We would defintely return for drinks, apps and oysters.

Marlene G — Google review

Walk into the Visitor Center to get great information about this historic site. Lowell was designed as a town with textile mills and all of the extensive planning went into creating efficiency, mass production of cloth and a good place for workers. Many women were hired here breaking down the barriers for work outside the household. A short walk or trolley ride from the Visitor Center is the actual mills. Fascinating! Hoping you see the video and spend some time here exploring the sights.

The Lowell National Park is an urban park spread out over a several block area of downtown Lowell. Some of the buildings and activities are free of charge (the main visitors center, the mill girls boarding house, the immigrant experience, and the trolley ride) while others have a small cost (Boott Cotton Mill and boat tour).Start at the visitors center where they have a short film explaining about the history of Lowell and the Mills, as well as exhibits telling a shorter version of the story you will see when visiting the other sites. From here you can plan your day: 90 minute canal boat tour, trolley to the Boott Mill (60-90 mins) and mill girls house (20-45 mins), or head the other way to a second mill tour (no idea of time here). In addition there are many fun and funky art galleries, museums (the quilt museum is a favorite) stores and restaurants between the visitors center and the other sites.

Brian C — Google review

Stopped here without really knowing what to expect. The ranger was very helpful and we were quite surprised how long we stayed in the end. If you’re into old factories it’s quite cool. Rather empty in mid-October, apparently in summer there are boat and tram tours, so that’s probably a better time to visit.

Nature & Parks

Livingston Park offers a variety of recreational activities for all ages, including a running track, baseball diamond, playground, swimming pool and boardwalk surrounding a shallow pond. The park's well-maintained sports fields provide ample space for outdoor games, while the one-mile trail through the woods is perfect for jogging or walking with plenty of shaded areas.

I come here at all seasons. The playground is great, the fields are well looked after, and the trail is lovely. My favorite is in the summer when you can see the turtles basking in the sun.

Sevenstevearmy — Google review

This is my favorite park in the summer. I take my son to this pool all.the time!!! It's beautiful water and very clean and the splash pad/shallow end for younger kids is great!! The way the have the pool sectioned off is cool too so each area is almost designated for new to maverick swimmers. The life guards are great as well...sometimes a little TOO overbearing but overall I love it there! Also fishing is great and the trails are absolutely beautiful!! And they have a local snapping turtle in the pond there and he's soo big and cool to see when he comes to the edge to visit 😀 I will absolutely be back again next summer! Only thing I can say I wish was different well 2 things if the water was a little warmer( it can be coooooold) and if the pool stayed open until labor day it closes 2 1/2 weeks before August is over and there's nowhere else to go to take my kid swimming for free!.... but other than that 5 stars plus!!!

Shyla M — Google review

Beautiful park with public pool for the hot summer days, race track for speed work days, trail for run/bike, and even a playground for the little ones. Excellent place.

Mario T — Google review

Great and safe place for outdoor activities and social outings with others. Great trails and paths, cared for fields for sports and recreation, exercise and physical health, or just to kill some time and enjoy the scenery. Some park users can be judgemental of others who also want and love to use the park but have fallen on hard times but are not instantly assumed to be a bad person. I have been directly judged by people regularly, from looks and glares, or sometimes more direct and, even, malice. Please be kinder to those who are struggling but still caring and good people who are making do with what little they have.

This park is great I use it for my maternity photos. Nice bridges plenty of space on the trail for bikes, strollers etc. very nice pond in the middle with water fountain. Always ducks to be seen. Nice big playground for older kids and then in the back smaller playground for little kiddos. Has a couple picnic tables just at the beginning of trail. Also has approximately 3 benches throughout the trail to sit and rest. There are bathrooms near the parking lot. Very bumpy trail so careful not to trip. Also nice for dogs. Don’t forget to pick up after your dog there is some poop so watch where you step. Very well kept park.

Jollster — Google review

Livingston Park is elegant. There are clear trails. The views are breathtaking. There is a huge pond that that is in the middle. The trails go around the pond.

Valē W — Google review

I go here all the time when I want a simple and peaceful walk. Its only a mile long, lots of ppl go there with pets, and the water makes it relaxing. I've gone even with ice on the path bc I like it there so much.

Andrea ( — Google review

Always a great place to walk a mile. A bit icy right now but still manageable. The ducks are hungry and will follow you a quarter mile if they think you might have food. Resist the urge, however. They need to learn how to make their own bread!

Brandon R — Google review

if you want to get some fresh air and your child wants to ride a bike this is the perfect place!

Алена К — Google review

Such a beautiful park to walk or jog around winter, summer, spring, and fall. The trail is about a mile loop that goes around Dorrs pond. You get great views of the water and trees, especially in the fall. There are little wooden bridges and a water fall at points on the trail. Lots of families and dogs here! There is a parking lot here and the trail is located next to a field, public pool and track that you can also walk or run on. Great little local park thats safe and clean.

Samantha M — Google review

A great 1 mile trail around the water. The scenery changes as you walk/ run/ ride a bike, so it always feels like being in a video game where the terrain changes as you progress. Lovely families are always about, and there's a play area for kids. It's also known for fishing. There are picnic tables in some areas, and benches are scattered throughout the 1 mile (great for a rest or a good chill in nature). I would 100% recommend!

Galindo A — Google review

This was a really nice Park! A beautiful place for the kids to play And a place for the kids to play. They have a swimming pool there which was pretty surprisand. the trails are amazing. There's a really nice Fishing pondthere and and it is sizable... Great place to stop on a trip

Flowers K — Google review

Definitely a great park and walking trail around the pond can get pretty busy at times though and people driving need to pay better attention to the foot traffic and their speed.

Eric M — Google review

Nice little park with a 1-mile trail encircling the pond. The trail is dog friendly and has even seen a cat or two! Fishing is allowed. There is also a small picnic area with 2 metal picnic tables.

B W — Google review

We went here to use the playground. They have two areas that are separated for age appropriate use. One is smaller and has lower slides for the younger children, and the other has larger slides and suspension bridges for the older children. Great parking lot that's easy to park and navigate. The park also has a one mile walking path through the woods that goes around a pond. There are bathrooms and trash bins available.

Robert O — Google review

It's a nice family stroll. I believe it's a mile around the loop/pond. And the playground is great. I haven't been to the pool yet but would like to. There are large soccer fields as well.

Jennifer V — Google review

One of the best parks in tbe greater metro Manchester area. Something for everyone here with a very nice playground for the kids, a lively pond and natural walking trails for the adults, plenty of parking...there's even a pool!

John S — Google review

This is a great place 2 go. I've been going here since I was young. I've always enjoyed riding my bike through the 1 mile long trail around the pond and still do. Great place 4 bike riding, going 4 a walk, have a picnic with family or let your kids have fun on the playground

Patrick W — Google review

Always a nice place to take a walk..been going here for years. Nice trail and benches along the way.

Ellen L — Google review

Very nice park and friendly people. Great place to walk a dog but it is not stroller friendly.

Sandra W — Google review

Whenever we come to Manchester, NH we walk the Livingston Park Trail. It is a nice and easy 1 mile trail around a small pond with ducks and other birds. The trail is mostly wide, gravel, some boardwalks, mostly shady, flat with a few 5-10 foot high gentle hills, and several benches for viewing and resting. There is also a playground and other fields for playing frisbee or other games, sports and walking. Plenty of parking and a reasonably clean bathroom facility. Nice place to eat your lunch from one of the area take-out restaurants that are nearby.

Jim O — Google review

It was just an all around family friendly park, with a playground for younger, and older children. There is a large walking trail, pond to feed the ducks, and a huge soccer field for the kids to bring balls or games to run around, plus in the summer time they have a pool with a splash pad. If you are from Manchester, and have been to other playgrounds and splash pads this one is not overrun by people looking for, or using drugs. The homeless population also does not hang around this park either.

Shelley W — Google review

I've been coming to this park for nearly 20 years. It's totally people and dog friendly for walking or jogging. The trail is through the woods so it's almost all shaded. People young and old are here everyday. It's safe if you're by yourself too! The trail is 1 mile around the pond. There are well maintained sports fields and a track. There is a large play ground w equipment for children all ages. There are picnic tables. There are benches all around the pond along the trail too. There is a boat ramp and fishing. Not sure what they're catching but the pond is shallow.

Monique P — Google review

Lovely park. Can't wait to take my little one to the playground after they're born. The mile trail around the pond is manageable even at 27weeks pregnant, with plenty of resting spots and scenic benches.

Museums

The Currier Museum of Art boasts an extensive collection of both European and American art, ranging from the works of Monet to O'Keeffe. The museum also features a wide selection of decorative pieces in its expansive space. Visitors can expect to see a variety of modern and contemporary art alongside American crafts, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. Notable highlights include pieces by Picasso and Van Gogh, making it a highly recommended destination for art enthusiasts.

Relaxing. Quiet. Enjoyable. Interesting. Thesaurus. Words. Oops 😬!A mixture of modern and what would be considered classic art from mainly Europe 🌍 and the US, including sculptures and furniture available for close up viewing. A few of the pieces, such as the Van Gogh, have a rope in front with a motion detector, but you can get up close to study the pieces. There are benches and a few chairs to sit and observe the 🎨 paintings.I had a brief tour with one guide and learned of the history of the museum.I learned of a free admission Saturday that happens each month from the Hippo 🦛 Press newspaper 📰.There is a small Andy Warhol exhibit which is mostly videos he took of people looking into the camera for several minutes. Celebrities such as Bob Dylan and Lou Reed are shown. This exhibit had been at the museum 🖼️ for about 10 years. There is a restaurant/cafe available. Elevator for the disabled. Gift shop as well.If you enjoy art 🎨, check it out!

This is a lovely museum and well worth a visit!! I had a wonderful time and the staff was so friendly :) I spent about 1.5 hours looking around and felt that was the perfect amount of time to see everything without getting tired. I also really appreciated how curated the collection was — it wasn’t just a hodgepodge of different pieces of art, there was a lot of thought that went into how to present each piece and what went with what!

Jack W — Google review

An amazing museum, though compact, has a lot of variety. You'll find some nice European art, as well as American art, including several paintings from the Hudson Valley school. There's some nice modern and contemporary art, as well. The American crafts are nice, as well.

We spent some time experiencing the museum's collections and had lunch at the Café (delicious!) before our main purpose of being there, which was touring the 2 Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes the museum owns. The home tours were fantastic, with very knowledgeable and personable docents. We would like to go back and spend more time at the museum itself. We highly recommend the museum, the cafe' and the home tours.

Steven D — Google review

The Currier Museum of Art is a nice small art museum that offers a lot. The museum has works by renowned artists such as Monet, Hopper, Cole, Homer, and Wyeth. There are also traveling exhibits and a nice collection of contemporary art. What sets the museum apart are its tours of its two Frank Lloyd Wright designed houses. The two houses are the Zimmerman House and The Kalil House are the only two Frank Lloyd Wright houses built in New England. The museum puts together a nice tour of the houses led by volunteer docents. The tours present the history of the houses and the architectural ideas and genius of Frank Lloyd Wright. The Zimmerman House is probably the better of the two houses. However, at the Kalil House you can actually use the furniture and touch different objects in the house. This is unique for most houses designed by Wright, as at most other houses you cannot do this. Both houses were designed by Wright in his later career. Photography is allowed at both houses as well.If going to the museum you should sign up online for the tour of the two houses. The tour takes two hours with a bus ride provided by the museum. The tours are popular so you will need to sign up early. The house tour price includes admission to the museum. The museum offers both great works of art and architectural history.

Ryan M — Google review

There is a lot to see.. the whole museum can be done in 45 mins - 1 hour.. highlight pieces are Monet, Picasso, and they had a Van Gogh piece.. I definitely recommend it

Fantastic local museum in a beautiful facility. The staff is very friendly and unobtrusive. The works on display are unique and they have a nice cafe if you need to take a break between exhibition halls. Definitely recommend if you are in Manchester.

Dark S — Google review

Went here in high school and had to come back when I visited my home state. Beautiful art and exhibits. I was asked to keep my backpack at my side, very politely, not like you'd wear a backpack. But the option of putting my backpack away or in a locker was largely stressed. Even after I mentioned I needed my bag because I carried necessary emergency meds in it. Then was constantly followed and watched by the same 3 people. Even the initial person who told me to keep it at my side and was pressing about putting my bag away said "the Lourve let's people use backpacks like that but not us haha" other than that great art work and informational pieces with them. Still would recommend but I guess maybe bring a purse and not backpack if you have to carry emergency meds like me?

A lovely museum with a nice collection. We especially loved our tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses. Our son is interested in architecture and I loved that he got to learn about all the details. Most tickets were sold out the week we went. So glad I got tickets in advance.

Shana F — Google review

We didn't actually tour the museum exhibits, though our tickets allowed us entry. We were there to go on a tour of the two Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes which the museum owns. The tour was amazing. I have visited many house museums, and can state that our docents, Jim and Mike, were a great team. Very entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to folks who may be interested.

This smaller museum is a gem! The displays make sense and demonstrate a depth in their collection. If you are able to spend an hour or two you will be rewarded by a pleasant experience. They also have a peaceful courtyard cafe.

This museum is amazingly beautiful! The art in the museum are a must see, especially the van Gogh and Picasso. The glass artwork exhibit is one of the biggest collections I've seen.

Rachel R — Google review

This is a beautiful gem of an art museum. Well worth the trip if you are an art-fan in Manchester, or New England in general. I saw several pieces I could identify as being famous. The entrance fee is reasonable, and I would recommend the Currier for a day trip. It is on the smaller side. A complete walkthrough of the museum took approximately 2 hours. Museum curators are working hard to be appealing to many different audiences.

Isabel T — Google review

What a great museum, small but awesome. Recommend it combine with tour to Zimmerman and Kali houses. On Sunday in cafe there is life music.

I thought this was a Currier and Ives museum... it is a nice collection of art, has a fairly steep $20 admission... I saw several great pieces of art, but no Currier and Ives pieces. They do manage 2 Frank Lloyd Wright homes, but tours aren't offered that frequently but you can drive by and appreciate the exteriors.

Stunning art museum. Amazing collections in a beautiful building. The restaurant/ cafe is also so pretty. Book ahead for the Zimmerman house tours, these are absolutely fantastic.

I only had 45 mins for here, so there is no time for that famous old building tour. The front desk employee was nice and told me I could have a free ticket if I'm BOA credit card users. When I walked in, more employee told me the sections and explained the art what they displayed. I got art freshed and good mood in that short 45 mins. Very nice. 😊

Cool mostly modern museum. Late night Thursday and w free concert maybe free for all after 3pm (?). The atrium is gorgeous and music is tasteful. Some big names like Joan Mitchell abstracts (featured in Masterworks platform). Parking on their lot is free. They also own 2 frank Lloyd wright homes nearby. The spring/summer tours are often sold out in advance on weekends. I haven't been able to get mine!

The Palace Theatre, established around 1915, is a non-profit performing arts venue that features its own theater company and youth troupe, as well as occasional guest music and comedy shows. The staff is known to be incredibly friendly and helpful, while the theater itself boasts stunning architecture with a rich history behind it. With excellent seating arrangements including balcony seats in the front row, families can enjoy top-notch performances ranging from acting to singing and dancing.

Went to do some preliminary research on the Palace Theater as my Paranormal research team is hoping to be doing an investigation there soon. The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly. The architecture is jaw droppingly beautiful and the rich history of this Theater makes it WELL worth the visit!

My wife and I saw "Christmas Carol" at Palace Theater. Outstanding performance, truly enjoyed the humor and music throughout the play. The theater itself was very comfortable, good seats no matter where you were seated. Staff was super friendly and truly cared about your experience at Palace Theatre. Strongly recommend attending an event at Palace Theatre!

This place is so quaint and amazing. We've seen plays here, Recycled Percussion and each time we come we are impressed. I don't think there is a bad seat in the whole place. Parking isn't too bad because there is a garage right across the street and street parking if you can get it. It's right near some incredible restaurants too.

William S — Google review

The seats were absolutely wonderful.. We're 1st row on the balcony and couldn't ask for better seats. My whole family enjoyed it. A Christmas cow is one of my favorite Christmas movies and they performed it to perfection

Daniel D — Google review

My husband and I saw Grease. What a terrific show! The actors were incredible. We both loved it so much! I was able to get another friend to go the next day because I told her it was so great. We actually talked about it today and she told me she was blown away as was I. Great job everyone! I can't wait to visit The Palace Theatre again in the future. Beautiful venue! A++++

Erin C — Google review

View from balcony, center section, few rows back... good seats & view! Only problem was when performers went to front of stage in front of pit or into audience.

Kimber L — Google review

Always great to see a show at the Palace! If you are interested in seeing top notch, professional theatre in New Hampshire, this is the place to go! Not a bad seat in the house!

Shane S — Google review

Top shelf in accommodations and performance. It is the place to go for top notch acting, singing and dancing

Andrew H — Google review

First time here with the family to see Recycled Percussion. We had a great time! The theatre was beautiful and very clean. My family and I would definitely come back here to see another show.

Rae W — Google review

Love the Palace Theatre! Always put on a great show. Our last show at the Palace will be the Neil Diamond Experience in April before we move. Will miss this place. Many many great times there.

Scott D — Google review

The Palace is a wonderful venue to enjoy a show, and provides a welcoming atmosphere, from the ushers, friendly bartenders, and doormen and women that are first to greet you and say "hope you enjoyed the show" with a smile. Thanks for adding your classy act to our overall entertainment experience!

L P — Google review

The musical, 42nd Street was excellent, and it's such a nice theater to enjoy a show in. All of the seats have a good view. My only complaint was that I thought the air freshener scent was a little too strong.

Kathleen J — Google review

Saw the children's production of Moana and it was fabulous! I couldn't believe how well put together the show us. The kids in it were so talented and funny. Highly recommend The Palace.

Cassandra B — Google review

This was our first experience at this theatre and we have been to a lot of theatres over the years! Absolutely gorgeous place. So amazing to see how much the community supports the arts — the program was so impressive highlighting all the local businesses. Staff was amazing. The show (The Prom) was great! High energy! So much talent! Hats off to The Palace and the community! Well done!

Connie B — Google review

Great upgrades to sound, lighting, and projection in the last few years. Seats are not the most comfortable, but OK. Consistently excellent performers across a wide variety of shows, including Youth and Teen companies. Save yourself a trip to Boston, even New York.

Jeff&Barb T — Google review

I love going here. The place is beautifully historic and the staff is top notch and friendly. I highly recommend going here. The shows are very well done also

Matthew S — Google review

The Palace is a great venue. We have seen several shows there and have never been disappointed. The nearby Victory parking garage makes for easy parking, and there are loads of nearby places to eat before the show. Always a great night out when we catch a show at the Palace Theatre! I should add that the staff at the theater are great too!

Davin D — Google review

Gorgeous Theater, Festive, Great Crowd:The Most Entertaining "A Christmas Carol" I've seen!Full of traditional songs, wonderfully performed and choreographed; and the settings and costumes are visually rich with detail, layer, and texture. The pace of the show is quick enough for families (it's clear this musical is part of many Manchester families' traditions). At the bar, the "Fezzywig Fizz" in the adult sippy cups, really adds to the experience. 😆Oh! And there's a surprise at the end. 🤫

Christina M — Google review

Great theater, beautiful setting, amazing shows. I love their youth productions, very talented kids and directors who put these shows together.

Marika Y — Google review

Easy access! Super and friendly staff! Great seats (and awesome show!). By the way, the bar is great. Best gin and tonic I have had in a while. Thank you!

Wonderful historical theatre...teeny tiny seats... Saw 'Who's Bad' The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience. Fun show! They kindly asked for no dancing in the aisles but had a small dance section on either side of the stage instead!

We took our grandson and he loved it. He's 9 fwiw. There were a lot of still younger children also enjoying it. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The butterflies and garden are beautiful. A very pleasant way to spend an hour or so.

Alfred T — Google review

Very much enjoyed seeing so many butterflies & moths & beautiful plants. Staff is very knowledgeable & helpful. I had a Blue Morpho butterfly land on me & stay with me for at least 20min. Then another landed on my head & stayed for about 5min. We took my 10 year old nephew & he enjoyed it very much. Another favorite thing was the Quail birds in the habitat. They are small chubby little birds that wander all around & they are absolutely adorable! I definitely recommend a visit.

KARLA W — Google review

A good place to learn about and experience butterflies. The staff are friendly. The garden was very nice but small. Overall plan on spending about and hour and a half there between the garden and the display area. We went in March, there are picnic tables. Would be nice to have lunch there in warmer weather. My 3 yr old loved it. Great place for everyone of all ages.

Samantha C — Google review

Found this place on a whim and ended up finding a new favorite! The staff are friendly and highly knowledgeable. Tons of butterflies every where. My daughter's were entertained for hours. They even sell in season caterpillars to take home and hatch.

Jacob T — Google review

wow. Super clean & inviting. So much to learn. So much to see. Definitely worth taking time to spend. Multiple areas of learning & show & tell experience. Such a beautiful & quaint place to be. Friendly staff & super knowledgeable & helpful.

Sam S — Google review

A little pricey for what it actually is (just one room with butterflies) as an adult but when I went on a field trip here as a kid I remember it being one of my favorite field trips and thinking it was huge and amazing so definitely a good trip for kids. You really can't spend very long here though so just depends if you have other things to do in the area or if you live nearby. I loved getting a caterpillar hatching kit there as a kid!

Erika S — Google review

This was a pretty good place to see butterflies, especially for children. There were plenty of butterflies to see and get close to, but there weren't a whole lot of different varieties. They give warnings about not touching them & being careful where you walk even though I noticed a lot of their wings were messed up.

Molly A — Google review

This is a great place for a short trip with young kids. Inside the butterfly room the climate feels tropical. You can get up close to watch butterflies doing their thing. Some will probably even land on you. There are also a few other small critters. Expect to spend 5 - 10 minutes in the butterfly room. You can stay as long as you want, but after 5 - 10 minutes you'll probably have seen everything that there is to see. There is an outdoor picnic area and some wetlands (not affiliated with the Butterfly Place) right outside. We saw some snakes, turtles, and frogs outside after our visit to the Butterfly Place.

Mike P — Google review

Absolutely delightful way to spend a few hours enjoying butterflies. Perfect family destination for fun and science about butterflies. Various different species flutter around the beautiful landscaped plant life, its like a mini rain forest under a dome. The staff was kind and patient with the little visitors in our family.

Chuck P — Google review

A wonderful experience to get up close with butterflies and observe numerous species. They do a great job teaching and making it accessible for all ages and it's easy to lose track of time sitting and watching the butterflies go by. A great place for families.

Bryan D — Google review

What a beautiful place! A wonderful day trip from home! Very affordable priced too! It's a small place so I recommend going in between there peak hours, it gets cramped fast. None the less great place!

Nicholas C — Google review

I have never been here before this weekend was my first time and it was really nice. There was a ton of butterflies flying around and some were even landing on me. My kids absolutely loved it as well.

Michael S — Google review

This place was made with love and hosts butterflies, other bugs, and two bird species! All animals and bugs appear well taken care of. Inside the greenhouse are plenty of seats, encouraging you to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. To top it off, the employees there are very friendly and love their jobs! Some may be put off with their rule to not touch the animals and bugs but this rule was made with quality of life in mind. I have been to other butterfly greenhouses without this rule and their butterflies have way more damaged wings and unfortunate butterfly deaths.Well worth a stop to visit!

A G — Google review

A magical and peaceful experience being surrounded by hundreds of butterflies. All different sizes and colors are in the greenhouse space. They are attracted to bright colors - especially vivid white. Be careful when entering and exiting the facility because butterflies sometimes latch on.

Samantha D — Google review

Cute little place. It was very crowded the day we visited so it was a little claustrophobic, but everyone had a great time. The kids loved seeing all the butterflies and learning about their life cycle and seeing other types of insects as well

Mallory S — Google review

This place is very cute and small. Because it is pretty small, it can feel very crowded even if there aren't that many people. Also, they have to keep the place warm for the butterflies, so keep in mind you may be sweating while in here. The kids love seeing all the butterflies and trying to trick them to fly onto their hands. Also, be aware that you may have a hitchhiker as you try to leave! During the right seasons, you can buy your own caterpillars that will turn into butterflies for you to release!

Jessica M — Google review

Magical place! Butterflies floating around. Kids loved it!

Ali T — Google review

This place was so peaceful. I went during April vacation so it was actually a little busy but the butterflies are so calming to be around. I did try to get a picture of that elusive blue butterfly but it just wouldn't land. Lol. I would recommend this place to nature lovers and people who have children that are well behaved. I saw a couple of younger children try to pull on the plants despite signage and people telling them not to.

Amelia — Google review

A really cool place to visit, especially for kids. Has so many butterflies. Its maintained well. People are nice and friendly.

Tejas S — Google review

Such a nice place for a visit. Butterflies everywhere. My little one had a blast.

Kerstin F — Google review

The Butterfly Place in Westford, MA, offers a magical escape into the world of butterflies, moths, and even charming ground quails. It was a place of pure enchantment for our two-year-old daughter when we visited in April. Although not the largest butterfly conservatory, it packs a remarkable amount of wonder and amazement into its space. We spent over an hour wandering through the beautifully maintained garden and exploring the informational hall, which provides insightful details about the life cycle and habitat of these delicate creatures. The intimate scale of The Butterfly Place allows for close-up interactions with the butterflies, making it especially thrilling for young children and nature enthusiasts alike.Visitors should be prepared for the warm and humid conditions inside the conservatory, which are maintained to suit the tropical residents, so dressing in light, comfortable clothing is advisable.Additionally, the facility offers a picnic site for those looking to enjoy a meal in the serene surroundings. There are also restaurants nearby, providing various dining options after your visit. Ample parking ensures a hassle-free start to your day at this charming attraction. The Butterfly Place is well worth a visit, offering a unique and educational experience that captivates visitors of all ages. It’s a perfect weekend destination for families looking to spend quality time surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of nature.

Patrick C — Google review

I don’t often use the word “magic” but this was legitimately a magical experience. I took my wife and 2 kids (8 & 4 y.o.) and we hung out for over an hour. Even though it’s a small footprint, it does not disappoint. Only issue we ran into is the kids got hungry and tired. My wife and I could have sat their for another hour.

Al H — Google review

Loved this place. It wasent hot in the garden like I thought it would be . Was busy inside though. Also the prices in the gift shop was very priced fair ! Unlike most gift shops the prices are insane . But not here prices were very reasonable. Parking is easy and free. Bathrooms are located outside

Joanne C — Google review

It was such a magical place. There were hundreds of beautiful butterflies. I went with my 20 year old son and he thought it was amazing. We also witnessed a couple of butterflies being born. You have to go and take your time to enjoy it.You're very welcome 🤗

First S — Google review

Small facility, but beautiful experience. More butterflies than you can count. Knowledgeable staff. I have made so many precious memories with both young and old relatives.

Amber J — Google review

It’s a little expensive for a family of 5. But we had fun. We just set on a bench and watched the butterflies.

John M — Google review

This place is great. It's a small facility so it was packed when I went on mother's day. But I had such a lovely time. My daughter (5yrs) wanted to go through three times. We packed our lunch and ate between walk throughs. There was lots of educational stuff. And even though the video is old I watched the whole thing and the slow mo shots were just so so cool. Highly recommend seeing the video. There were lots of cool bugs and frogs to see too. And we went to the local ice cream place mentioned on the website too. It was excellent. They had like 50 flavors.

Carson M — Google review

Thr best part on the butterfly 🦋 place is you walk along the butterfly’s for real and see them flying around you, it may come and sit on you if you are lucky 🍀. Take pictures and videos with butterflies. The butterfly 🦋 place is within reach for people living in and around Boston & Nashua NH. This place has amazing collection of butterflies 🦋 from various tropical 🏝️ weathers. You can be with butterflies 🦋 for 30 mins to an hour you can spend as the garden 🪴 is not super big. As you may know the butterflies 🦋 spectrum is higher than human, butterflies 🦋 can see additional spectrum of colors than human which we can’t imagine. Listen to 15 minutes video tour for learning about the lifecycle of the butterflies 🦋. Don’t forget to visit the gift 🎁 souvenir shop where you can buy inexpensive items, also if your kids are interested you can get real butterfly 🦋 growing kit to learn the lifestyle of a butterfly for real. It takes 2 weeks to grow larva, pupa, cresols and adult butterfly 🦋. This place also does birthday 🎉 parties..

Variety C — Google review

Nice place to take the kids out. Our two were still unsure about the butterflies sitting on them. But it’s a great small outing that gets them excited.

Prolay M — Google review

A very nice indoor butterfly garden. Lots of butterflies and nice and warm inside. They have a small educational section as well to see other bugs and frogs and cute gift shop. Good way to kill an hour or two at most. No need to buy tickets ahead of time.

Mine Falls Park is a vast, natural oasis situated along the riverfront. The park features an abundance of forest trails, outdoor activities, and sports fields. Visitors can enjoy fishing along the river and observe various wildlife such as birds and fish. There are porta potties and trash cans available at the entrance for convenience. In addition to the recreational opportunities, there is also a municipal park with a recreation field located within Mine Falls Park.

Absolute favorite trail for the pup and I! It’s gorgeous; well maintained and an easy flat with small side trails that loop back to the main trail.

Aly — Google review

There are a lot of trails to explore! We did the trail which leads to the old mill building. It went next to the river where people were fishing 🎣 and a homeless couple had set up a tent. Porta potties and trash 🗑️ cans available at the entrance we used. Parking 🅿️ available. Municipal park with recreation field 🏑 located here as well. We enjoyed our walk. I recommend a visit!

Stephen P — Google review

This is excellent. Lots of trails for the curious explorer and very gently sloped main paths that feel just secluded enough. This park could do with more trash bins and restrooms, though. Anything to keep bags of pet waste off the trails would also be a massive improvement.

J. H — Google review

Enjoyed the park, lots of walking trails and looks like a good place to fish for carp and bass. Area seems slightly sketchy which is the only reason for my four stars. However, there are lots of people who go here so it’s probably pretty safe with all the people around.

Larry H — Google review

wish i took more photos but this park had so many trails to go off and explore to! it was definitely fun with a friend plus a great place to do some cardio.

Dylan — Google review

Peaceful place to take a stroll, bikeride, jog, etc. Lots of wildlife to observe if that's your thing. Paths are marked, and there's plenty of shade and sun. Great trail.

Mine Falls is my favorite park in Nashua. Every time I go I see something I’ve never noticed before. Especially when different seasons come. It has plenty of parking and the ground is perfect for running.

Teodoro R — Google review

I’m absolutely amazed at the amount of work Nashua city has put into this place! Paved trails make it super accessible for a stroller with a child. Quite a fun spot to get close to nature for a small family!

Peter L — Google review

A lot of trails that you can choose to walk or jog. You can even bring your bike and boat to enjoy the park.

MeMyself&I — Google review

Beautiful walking path. Cycling trails are also seen. Pet-friendly and kid friendly area.

Mine Falls Park in Nashua is a picturesque natural gem that offers a wide range of outdoor activities. With its extensive network of trails along the Nashua River, it's a great place for hiking, biking, and even cross-country skiing in the winter. The park features beautiful scenery, including waterfalls and wildlife. The picnic areas make it an ideal spot for family outings, and the park's history as a former industrial site adds an interesting layer to its character. Overall, Mine Falls Park provides a peaceful escape from the urban surroundings and is a wonderful place to connect with nature.

Also from mine falls to the downtown damn canoeing is available.New to the area and balls is a must Doom must-see. Guaranteed to be hooked at first sight.Thank youJoe

Laurie C — Google review

I loooveee going to mine falls! It’s absolutely my favorite place to go to exercise/and or walk. I love seeing all the animals. The trails are beautiful. There is all different trails that you can go on. If it’s your first time going there they actually have a QR code to scan where you can look at the entire map of the park so you don’t get lost. It’s an amazing place especially if you want to just listen to music and take in all the scenery it’s very relaxing to me and peaceful. I can always go there and just clear my mind of stress etc.

Kerrie — Google review

Beautiful park with well laid out trails so you don't easily get lost. There's a convenient and pretty clean bathroom by the field. I was disappointed when I returned to my rental car to see that I received a parking ticket. I am from Florida and just wanted to enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire and the changing colors and this is the welcome I receive. I am not familiar with the area and not aware of parking restrictions and didn't see any signs with restrictions at this park. I have traveled to many, many other states and enjoyed their nature trails without being penalized with a parking ticket. I looked around and saw that no one else was ticketed. This put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel unwelcome because I had out of state plates. I will never go to another New Hampshire park again for fear of receiving more violations. The fine is $200 and there are no warning signs.

Ursula B — Google review

The park was lovely! The trails were well kept and everyone there was respectful. There was so much wildlife! A great place to birdwatch. You can even see fish in the water. I had a great time, I'll definitely be back next time I'm up that way.

Sevenstevearmy — Google review

It's been a few years since I have been there and for what little of the park I explored it was pretty clean. They did have a clean up day the day before. trails are wide and all the dogs we came across were well behaved. it wasn't overly crowded possibly due to an impending storm from coming in that afternoon. overall a good place to walk, hike, and ride a bike.

K C — Google review

Great place for hiking. There are few trails, and you can choose what distance you want to walk. Walking next to the river is beautiful. We did an easy walk with a baby and a stroller. It was amazing.

Shlomi Z — Google review

This is a beautiful park with many trails to explore and enjoy hikes on. The mine falls are peaceful, and the trails are always cleared. I would give this park 5 stars if it weren't for these 2 things that would make this park an even better experience. First, there is a lack of restrooms around the area. Second, include trash cans and poop bags (ideal but not as necessary as trash cans) throughout many trails for dog owners to throw out their poop bags. There are many poop bags on the ground or hanging on the trees, and a lot of people who do not pick up their dog's poop along the trails, which is a huge health concern.

Carmina C — Google review

One of the better parks around. The paved paths are well kept, and the dirt ones get a little narrow and hilly at some points. A lot of squirrels, birds, and cool mushrooms.

Kyle is incredible! He was so sweet to my mom and I and helped explained all the different prices and bags to us! Made the experience so much better! Everyone else there was also incredibly sweet and kind.

Alicia S — Google review

I had the worst experience here. The girl working on Saturday, July 13th, was incredibly rude to my mother and me. I take my time with big purchases like bags because I know I'll use them often. I was deciding between a bag in the store and a Coach bag I saw recently. She asked if we needed help three times in 30 minutes, and each time I politely declined. The last time, she asked if we needed help with prices, and I politely declined again and smiled, but she gave a rude look afterward. I always try to assume the best, so I left with my mom and asked if it was just me or if she really was being rude. My mom noticed her tone and expression, and we were both very offended. I left quickly because she made me uncomfortable, but I knew I wanted to buy a small coin purse. I was nervous to return because I hate confrontation and felt so unwelcome. When we came back, she sarcastically said, "Welcome back." The man who rang us up was kind and non-judgmental. I don't know what her problem was. I don't know if she thought we were stealing or couldn't afford anything, but she was very rude. I mean it's the Marc Jacob OUTLETS! Why are we behaving like this? Immediately after I drove to a coach store and bought the other bag I had been looking for. Maybe I am sensitive, but she ruined my day and I hope she stops being such a mean girl (atleast when she's at work). BOO! 🍅 🍅 🍅

Showed up at 7pm to buy something at this store Marc Jacobs at the Merrimack outlets. Online says the store closes at 9pm. Manager and store worker were still inside with the doors locked not trying to look up to me. I Was trying to get there attention to get an explanation. Doesn’t have good customer service, ignored me until I kept knocking. Comes like 20ft to the front with a written sign that you can even see from the outside because of how far she was standing. I had to speak up an say online says 9pm. You guys need to change those hours if that is not the correct time. At least honor that 1 more customers that comes 30miles away to this specific store instead of not wanting to provide customer service. It’s your job, you were still on the clock. If you hate your job so much quit. At least the store worker was making eye contact and you could tell she wanted to help but because of her manager made her look like a horrible worker.Saturday September 3,2022.
