NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Donald Trump has clarified that he has not been asked to appear on Joe Rogan’s popular podcast nor has he reached out to Rogan for an interview.

The former president made these remarks during a conversation with Lex Fridman on 'The Lex Fridman Podcast' episode aired on Tuesday, September 3.

Donald Trump says he has 'always liked' Joe Rogan

Speaking to Fridman, another podcaster well-regarded among conservative circles, Trump opened up on the dynamics he has with Joe Rogan, according to Daily Mail.

“I don’t think there was any tension. And I’ve always liked him, but I don’t know him,” he said.

“I only see him when I walk into the arena with Dana [White] and I shake his hand. I see him there and I think he’s good at what he does, but I don’t know about doing his podcast," he added.

When asked whether he would consider an appearance on Rogan's podcast 'The Joe Rogan Experience', Donald Trump said, "I guess I’d do it, but I haven’t been asked and I’m not asking them. I’m not asking anybody.”

Donald Trump, who is running for president for the upcoming November election, has recently engaged in a series of interviews, videos, and sit-downs with prominent right-wing internet influencers and social media celebrities.

Despite the absence of an invite from Rogan, the Republican presidential nominee has not shied away from media engagements, particularly with personalities who resonate with conservative audiences.

Joe Rogan's unpredictable politics

Joe Rogan, who has built a massive following and secured lucrative deals with Spotify, is known for his controversial statements on topics ranging from Covid-19 to climate change and antisemitism.

Despite being a polarizing figure, the podcaster’s political stance is not easily categorized.

In the 2020 presidential race, he endorsed Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

He also publicly expressed support for Robert F Kennedy Jr before Kennedy suspended his election campaign and endorsed Trump on August 23.

In his conversation with Fridman, Trump said Rogan is "sort of a liberal guy, I guess, from what I understand,”

While he acknowleged the former UFC color commentators support for Kennedy, Trump noted, “But he likes [Robert F.] Kennedy. This was before I found this out, before Kennedy came in with us. He’s going to be great,."

“Bobby’s going to be great. But I like that he likes Kennedy," he added.

As Donald Trump clarified Joe Rogan has not yet invited him to his podcast, netizens rallied to comment on the former president's comments.
