How do I place an order for a freight or micro shipment?

Freight shipments are all custom orders based on market rates and order requirements. Email inquiry@thosecoffeepeople.com to get started. For micro orders (shipments of 64 lb coffee bags or roasted coffee) you can directly purchase from our online shop.

What’s the minimum size of order you will ship?

We will ship any amount through Fedex, minimum 105kg by air freight, and minimum 490 kg by sea freight. If you have a smaller order, the logistics will just be more expensive per kg or lb than if you took a larger order.

How are my prices set?

We price all of our coffee in ExWork prices. We will also be able to provide you with sea (LCL/FCL) or air quotes as needed to your port of destination. However, if you are placing an order for a future date we can not guarantee these rates for the moment that the merchandise is shipped and shipping quotes are provided as an estimate.

What are your payment terms?

Payment is due before shipping. For clients with order histories with us can individually inquire about financing services available.

How does Those Coffee People define specialty coffee?

In short, we define specialty coffee as an SCA sensory analysis of 83 points or higher. There is no consideration to defect allowance in our definition, and it is purely based on sensory analysis.
