Joe Swash has been heard making a cheeky comment about his relationship with Stacey Solomon as he compared it to their Pickle Cottage home in a new teaser for their first-ever reality show.

There are just days to go until fans will get a real glimpse into the couple's family life after they welcomed a film crew into their beloved home for the first time.

The BBC One series, filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024, aims to show how the pair balance family life with their work schedules and passion projects, such as building a two-acre fishing lake.

The reality show will follow Stacey, Joe, their children and collection of animals that includes two dogs and four ducks for a "refreshing, honest take on their modern blended family".

It's now been revealed that the series, titled Stacey & Joe, will officially begin on Tuesday, April 1, on BBC One and iPlayer, with six 60 minute episodes making up the run.

The synopsis for Stacey & Joe, reads: "Raising their 'pickles', Zach, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle, who are aged between 16 and one, is no mean feat, especially combined with busy work schedules and ambitious passion projects like building a two-acre fishing lake.

"Filmed during the summer and autumn of 2024, the series shows the couple as they celebrate their second wedding anniversary, revealing how they met and fell in love.

"Cameras follow 16-year-old Zach as he waits nervously for his GCSE results and we see Stacey winning big at the National Television Awards.

"Can a much needed summer holiday in Turkey bring some harmony to the couple as they face their busiest year ever, and with Joe spending more time at home over the last 18 months, Stacey is adamant she wants to spend more time with the children. The series ends with the family all together as they prepare for a festive Pickle Cottage Christmas."

With the release of the first episode getting closer, a trailer was released that gave a glimpse at what fans can expect. Just moments in, Joe makes a quip about his marriage and his and Stacey's home, saying: “Pickle Cottage is like our relationship... constantly working on it."

Fans were then shown a series of clips from the past several months of the Solomon-Swash's life, including a glimpse into their parenting style as Stacey reacted to her teenage son, Leighton, asking her for money.

"Here it is, this is us," Joe is then heard saying to the camera as he sat on the sofa with his wife. At the end of the trailer, the family are seen enjoying an outdoor dinner when Stacey declares: "Welcome to marriage!"

The caption of the post alongside the trailer said: "Meet the Solomon-Swashes and peep behind the scenes at Pickle Cottage – with @staceysolomon and @joeswash.
